This is an incremental simulation game with tower defense elements.
Made in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 56.
Slimeows are adorable tiny creatures that love fish. Help them protect their pond from the bobtails!
Direct the slimeows to collect fishies from the pond to breed more slimeows, and they will send fish bones from the cat tree to the tower as ammo.
Upgrade your defenses, fend off the bobtails, and grow the slimeow family.
For the best experience, please play in full-screen mode, the game is not optimized for mobile phones.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
I really loved the design of your game!
While it felt a bit slow every now and again, I always felt a rush of dopamine whenever I upgraded something! A fast forward button would be really nice to have if you plan on adding anything more to this!
I especially enjoyed the music in your game! It always kept me bobbing my head up and down as I played! Hahaha
Whether you continue with this concept or not, I'll be keeping an eye out for any future projects! Thank you for making this game!
Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to your future content as well!
Should you ever want me to play another project you have in store, please don't hesitate to let me know!
It's so awesome seeing what the Indie gaming community can come up with and I'd really love showing the world how fun these games are!
This was a super cute game! It felt a little repetitive (toward the end I was just bouncing between more fish in the pond, more "fishy research", and then upping the cheap upgrades to get the fish faster) but it was super cute. And I LOVED that you have that level of balance in there in the first place! Incremental games are my absolute favorite and if they include loss, it's always like "well now you came back with all these upgrades!" which removes any stress of failure.
All of that to say this is a terrific entry and I loved it! One of my favorites between the art style, the fun music, and the balancing of upgrades.

I really enjoyed the CRT game atmosphere and the cute cats working.
When I first played the game, I thought I could go on forever since I was biting at the screen and there seemed to be no element of dying, but when I played it again and got into it, the ammo management and power-ups were surprisingly severe and fun Meow~!
Was a nice game, hoped it would be longer and there would be more upgrades after the fishy research.
maxed everything out, with 17 guy catching fish and 3 delivering ammo.
enemy wont be able to breach. or if he still gets stronger, I wont be able to improve and defend anyways.
so that's the end of the game there :-)
Cute, but needs some serious balancing. By the time you have 6 slimeows you never need more because the pond takes WAY too long to restock, even with upgrades. And even if you do choose to upgrade the pond, the cost scaling is insane with very very little improvement. So it becomes way more cost effective to just get a bunch of Bigger Bowl upgrades and have like 6 slimeows and that's it.
The game also needs to be sped up, just in general. As in, accumulate money faster, and difficulty increases faster. Way too much waiting between upgrades. That is, unless this is meant to be an idle game, which it didn't seem to be since playing optimally has you reassigning slimeows between the pond and tower.
Idk what other people are on about, it's an extremely simple concept. I had all upgrades max after like 15 min, so not much "grind" either. It's honestly too easy imo. Though, once everything is max its just kind of pointless, so having a win con of some sort or a final boss etc would be ideal. All in all, fun little game 7/10
Fun, but too there's too much grinding. The pond upgrades are too expensive and don't improve fish production enough, resulting in a bottleneck. Pretty much the only worthwhile upgrades are research and pond, and pond improves production so little that it often requires multiple upgrades to make a noticeable difference
Fun for a bit, the lose condition is a bit harsh though given how long the time between upgrades gets later in the game. I was waiting for the pond upgrade since that seems to block production the most, then I lost. Didn't get any further than the first research. Still had a good time, impressive for a 72h jam game. (its still 72h for the LD jam version right)
Update ideas:
Money and ammo rework:
I think it would be cool if the fishes (money) were used to shoot the enemy slimeows, not talking a big amount of loss but like 5 fish for ammo (price (fish) does not increase with the veteran upgrade (the veteran upgrade simply increases the amount of fish (ammo) you get for the 5 fish (money)).
A system for the grooming feature:
Cats will need to spend time grooming (to relax?), and therefore will not be able to work, maybe an upgrade could decrease the grooming time.
Fish reward upgrade:
Name should explain itself, but maybe an expensive upgrade that increases fishes (money) worth.
My opinion of the current game:
I like it, but maybe its a bit too simple (as shown by my ideas for changes seen above), and I'd like to see some more complexity to it, other than that, I quite like it, though later on, when stuff gets very expensive, everything kinda gets slowed down, and then I kind of lose interrest in the game.
Yes i know this is a Ludum Dare game jam, does not mean it can't be made into a bigger game.
