Umaumbela, embotânica, é o termo utilizado para um conjunto de flores que partem ospedicelos, iguais, do eixo central, com formato de umguarda-chuva. Ou seja, é umainflorescência em forma de guarda-chuva. Pode serpseudo-umbela quando partes ou flores "falsas" estão presentes, como, por exemplo,brácteas. Pode ser simples ou composta.[1][2][3][4]
O termo vem dolatimumbra, que significa sombra ou treva, aplicado em algumas línguas, comoitaliano einglês, para guarda-chuva,ombrello eumbrella respectivamente.[1][2][3][4]
