Biografia

Simmons nasceu em Detroit,Michigan, filho de Patricia Kimble, uma administradora, e Donald William Simmons, umprofessor universitário.[4][5] Ele tem um irmão, David (um cantor e compositor), e uma irmã, Elizabeth. Estudou naUniversidade de Montana e foi um membro do Seattle Repertory Theatre.[6] Torcedor doDetroit Tigers desde a sua juventude.
