In Familiar Field Trip, you play as a witch's familiar out on the town with your friends (enemies?). You choose from one of five species - cat, crow, fox, raccoon, or toad - who each have their own specialties and three ways to customize (with 12 different potential builds for each familiar type!). Each familiar rolls from one of 20secret objectives that they get big bonus points if they complete for their master.
Players take turns rolling forlocations andlocation features, which means every session will be different! There are 12 locations and 20 features to generate from.
While out on the town, familiars take turns using a host ofmoves on a token system to cause havoc and mayhem. Destroy your surroundings, scare villagers, complete thelocation challenge, and just generally be up to no good. Rack upmischief points, stealcollectibles, and try to get as many points as possible so you can come out on top!
Familiar Field Tripis acompetitivegame! There will be a winner, and it's your job to try and achieve that! The different moves available for familiars allow you toform alliances and work together, orsabotage each other so only you can get what you want.
To play you'll need aset of dice and2-5 players. This is a one session game that takes 2-3 hours to play. You can designate one player as the Herald and have them guide the rolls and villagers, or work collaboratively to decide how the story goes.
