Starrcade '88 was the sixth annualStarrcade professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced under theNational Wrestling Alliance (NWA) banner. It was the first Starrcade event produced byWorld Championship Wrestling (WCW), and it took place on December 26, 1988 from theNorfolk Scope inNorfolk, Virginia. Shortly before the event,Ted Turner boughtJim Crockett Promotions, and the company became WCW.
