Capabilities[]

The user can separate the shadow archetypes of themselves and/or specific individuals and manifest them into evil Jungian doppelgängers. The shadow archetype is the accumulation of the host’s subconscious yet evil and negative traits that are therefore denied by the person.

The way this power works apart from the clone manifestation part, is that the user of this ability is able to basically splice the negative aspect of the soul or heart and then rip it out.

In terms of power, the shadow archetype clones can possess any of the power sets that the individual has, but to an equal or to a much higher extent. They are highly likely to inspire fear in the host and this will create openings for them to attack.

While its effects can vary depending on who is writing it, Red Kryptonite (DC Comics/Superman III) is capable of separating an individual’s shadow archetype into an evil replica of the former.

Master Xehanort had used his Gazing Eye (Kingdom Hearts series) to separate the darkness from Ventus’ heart…

…creating Vanitas.

The Midnight Channel/TV World/Mayonaka TV (Persona 4) is a virtual location that causes the Shadow Selves within a specific host to separate from them.

Mad Jack is Jack's dark side made manifest, separated from him by Aku's (Samurai Jack) dark magic.

Ryu (Street Fighter series) was able to purge theSatsui no Hado from his body, leading to his Evil Ryu persona taking physical form and becoming Kage.

Dexter (Dexter’s Laboratory) built a machine that separated his and Dee Dee’s rude aspects and created them as evil duplicates.

As a side effect of Spyro being cured of corruption by fire viper venom, Dark Spyro (Skylanders Academy) was separated from him, becoming his own entity.
