Today, Pitchfork is excited to announce our business and content partnership with the videogame arts and culture magazineKill Screen. Past Pitchfork contributors Jamin Warren and Chris Dahlen conceivedKill Screen in 2009, and it's developed into a print publication and a website, both dedicated to smart and exuberant coverage of the world of gaming.
Here at Pitchfork, we've been obsessively documenting and engaging with music for 15 years-- figuring out what's good, what's bad, and what's happening in the art form in a big picture sense, as well as identifying and featuring the most interesting artists in the field. And we're thrilled to be partnering with a publication that's bringing this same curiosity and critical engagement to the realm of gaming.
Going forward, we're going to highlight some ofKill Screen's most interesting content on Pitchfork. And today, we're runningthree recent pieces that appeared onKill Screen's website: former Pitchfork writer Nick Sylvester discussingAngry Birds, a profile ofSword & Sworcery EP creator Craig Adams by Adrian Sanders, and a piece on a videogame envisioned by LSD guru Timothy Leary. Stay tuned: more good stuff to come.
