PITCHFORK - General Subscription

Q: What happens if I already have a Pitchfork account?

A: To continue to have unlimited access, you will need to add a paid subscription to your existing account and log in with the same credentials. Please visit oursubscription page to decide which option is right for you.

Q: I have recently become a Pitchfork subscriber. How do I log in?

A: After you have initially subscribed, you should receive an email containing a link to log in. The link will automatically log you into the site.

You may also use an email and password if you have previously generated one. If you did not receive an email then you can log in to the site with the email you used during your subscription via the sign-in button in the navigation. You can visithttps://www.pitchfork.com/account/profile to view your active subscription. If you have any issues, please call our team (US Customers: 1-855-484-0812) and (International Customers: 1-332-239-1854). Fees may apply in accordance with your mobile plan. International call fees may apply.

Q: What does it mean to link my subscription? Why is this important?

A: It is possible to create an online account without being a subscriber and vice versa.

To read unlimited articles online as a subscriber, you’ll need to link your subscription to your Pitchfork account.

This process may be necessary for customers who have never created an account or registered an email address with us.

Q: Can I sign up from any country?

A: Pitchfork is a US based subscription, but Pitchfork is available in most countries internationally. To purchase a subscription please check oursubscription page.

Q: What does my Pitchfork subscription include?

A: By subscribing, you’ll get unlimited access to trusted reviews and in-depth critical analysis. Plus, you can join exclusive Q&As with artists and Pitchfork’s editors, rate and review albums using the same point system as our critics, and even upvote or save reviews to revisit later. Please note that if you reside in the UK or the EU you will not be able to reply to other user’s comments, but you will still be able to comment on all album reviews and provide a review.

Q: How do I sign up for a subscription?

Q: How do I change my subscription term?

A: Please contact Customer Care to make changes to your subscription term.

Q: Can I purchase multiple / group subscriptions?

A: This is not available at this time.

Q: How many people can be logged into my Pitchfork account at once?

A: All accounts are for individual use only.

Account Creation and Management

Q: I forgot my password. How can I recover it?

A: Go to pitchfork.com and clickSign In (top-right corner of your screen)

Select “Sign in another way” and enter your email address

If you are using a password to sign in, click “Forgot your password? Reset it”

If there is a subscription associated with your email address, we will send you instructions for resetting your password.

Q: How do I make changes to my email address or password?

A: Please contact Customer Care to update your email address. You can reset your password via the “Forgot your password? Reset it” link on theSign In page.

Q: How do I make changes to my address, payment details, etc?

A: You may make updates by contacting Customer Care.

Q: I’m having trouble signing in.

Billing and Cancellation

Q: How much does a subscription cost?

A: To see our current offers, please visit oursubscription page.

Q: Which credit cards do you accept?

A: We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express. We also accept PayPal, Google Pay and Apple Pay.

Q: When will I be charged for my Pitchfork subscription?

A: Your payment method will be charged as soon as your order is received. It may take up to three days for the charge to appear on your statement. Before the start of each renewal, you will be emailed a reminder notice summarizing the details of your subscription and the rate that you will be charged. Our team will be available to assist you by phone (US Customers: 1-855-484-0812) and (International Customers: 1-332-239-1854).

Q: How do I update the payment information associated with my subscription?

A: Visit yourPitchfork profile page, located in the top right corner of our website, to manage your payment and mailing address information.

You can also update your information by contacting Customer Care.

Q: Can I get a receipt or confirmation of my subscription, account details, or cancellation?

A: After subscribing, you can expect to receive a confirmation email within twenty-four hours that contains the terms of the subscription. For all other requests, please visit ourContact Us page.

Q: How do I unsubscribe from Pitchfork?

A: You can cancel your subscription within your online account page or contact customer service for assistance.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: You’re in full control of your subscription and can cancel at any time. When you purchase a subscription it begins immediately.

You can cancel by contacting Customer Care or cancel at any time within your profile page located in the top right corner of our website.

Please note that we do not offer refunds for cancellations. When you cancel, your subscription and access will remain active through the end of your current billing term (either a monthly, or an annual term). You will then lose access and you will not be charged again.

Q: I live in the UK or an EU country. What is the cancellation policy?

A: By placing an order for a subscription that includes digital access, you understand that your subscription will start immediately, and you will, therefore, lose your statutory right to cancel your subscription within 14 days of acceptance of your order. Subscriptions are non-refundable, and any notice of cancellation that you provide will only take effect at the end of your subscription period. You can cancel by emailing Customer Care by emailing or cancel at any time within your profile page located in the top right corner of our website.

Q: How do I check when my subscription expires?

A: You can view the expiration date of your subscription by emailing Customer Care.

Q: Can I pause my subscription?

A: You can pause your subscription for up to 30 days.

Q: If I have canceled my subscription previously, how can I sign up for subscription again?

A: You can reactivate your subscription at any time by contacting Customer Care athelp@pitchfork.com .

Gift Subscriptions and Discounts

Q: Can I buy a gift subscription for someone else?

A: Not at the moment. Subscriptions are currently available for individual readers, with gifting on the horizon.

Q: Do you offer a student discount?

A: We currently don’t offer discounts to students.

PRIVACY POLICY & USER AGREEMENT

Q: How can I find your Privacy Policy and User Agreement?

A: Please read the terms of our user agreement (including the class action waiver and arbitration provisions) andprivacy policy (including your CA privacy rights) before creating a Pitchfork account and confirming your subscription. These terms will apply to your use of the subscriptions we offer.
