This exercise adopts the categories of analysis of the semiotics of the passions for the reading of La Familia, one of the three short stories of the Venezuelan author Nuni Sarmiento in ¡Señoras! Once the passions are understood as narrative text, we try to formalize the narrative program to descript both the mode of configuration of the passion ‘rage’ and that of its literary representation. As an essay, the approach could enrich the theoretical framework and the possibilities of interpretation and intertextuality of the literary text.
