functions /say

You are viewing the version of this documentation from Perl 5.34.3.View the latest version
#say FILEHANDLE LIST
#say FILEHANDLE
#say LIST
#say

Just likeprint, but implicitly appends a newline at the end of the LIST instead of any value$\ might have. To use FILEHANDLE without a LIST to print the contents of$_ to it, you must use a bareword filehandle likeFH, not an indirect one like$fh.

say is available only if the"say" feature is enabled or if it is prefixed withCORE::. The"say" feature is enabled automatically with ause v5.10 (or higher) declaration in the current scope.
