Pay money get good design award. Just like they pay money to MIROS to get 5stars rating, and JPJ to declare their cars are absolutely not affected by Toyota & Daihatsu safety test scandal.

The Axia and Aruz, sales have been pretty sluggish.
A P2 salesman offered lots of freebees and immediate stock, whereas the Bezza and Alza require waiting 60 to 150 days.
P2 fanboys wont mind extending the hp by a year to get Myvi or Bezza, bigger size ,more power ,also equally fuel efficient.
The Aruz is bogged down by super bouncy suspension like the old Avanza models.

    Thumb up8 Thumb down1
    • Ofc the aruz is bouncy. It is based on super old ladder frame chasis. The one who bought one without doing further research then complaint are just downright stupid not actually the car fault

      Thumb up3 Thumb down1
      • the comfort in Suzuki Jimny is worse than this.
Aruz is more comfortable than my car of it’s Jip Class. Aruz has it’s strength yet reaching it’s price point.

you can mod the comfort, power easily from here.
as long as you willing to spend. 1 direct way is using Adaptive Suspension.

        Thumb up2 Thumb down1
  • If they didn’t skimp out on dated halogen bulb taillights and no rear window heater, i would agree

    Thumb up10 Thumb down0
    • Considering previous one was LED, it’s a downgrade. Older Axia had a nicer overall design in my opinion.

      Thumb up21 Thumb down1
      • because the older axia was a daihatsu rebadge where daihatsu helmed the design. this one was a perodua design hence the flop.

It’s called projector headlamps for previous one. Current one also LED but not projector. Pls ensure accuracy of your comment before commenting.

        Thumb up0 Thumb down2
  • LOL another syiok sendiri award

    Thumb up16 Thumb down1
  • Don’t what good design they talking about. Pintu dia macam pintu peti sejuk. Dah buka, dia tutup balik sendiri. This is a serious safety issue.

There is nothing to show from P2 and Japanese

what ?…the fuel lid puller is not at a convenient location ….hmmmm

    Thumb up3 Thumb down0
  • I mean the rear design isn’t as successful

    Thumb up9 Thumb down3
  • Very nice DNGA AXN,
Especially for people who looking for affordable premium compact,

Fuel saving better than my Jazz Hybrid lama

    Thumb up8 Thumb down12
    • Premium? This?

Sounds like something only a P2 salesman would say…wait, you are a P2 salesman, aren’t you?

      Thumb up4 Thumb down0
      • it is not premium compared to Mini Cooper,
but it is no less premium compared to older hatchback like
Mitsubishi Mirage 1.2L, Suzuki Alto Swift 1.4L,
        Hyundai Getz, Yaris 2009 etc.

at this price, these are the choice.
        new premium or used plastic

        • Match with the right year please!onJun 20, 2024at2:33 pm

compare lah apple to apple, at least compare la same generation apple 2024 vs orange 2024.

i owned Mirage from 10 years ago and it was far better than viva 10 years ago.

even though now i’m driving mazda 3 i didnt compare it with civic from 10 years ago.

          Thumb up1 Thumb down0
  • Is this the model where Toyota says hv crash test results in doubt? The one with inner foot part protrude into passenger space during crash test?

    Thumb up6 Thumb down1
  • Kesian orang dah tak ada kereta murah zaman sekarang untuk rakyat biase2. suka ke tak paling murah auto Bezza 1.0 dan saga

    Thumb up8 Thumb down0
  • Don’t syiok sendiri. This car is junk. And a big joke in the global scene.

Award should read “D74A Perodua Axia wins the Malaysia most cheaply made car”.

    Thumb up10 Thumb down1
  • It does look the best out of it’s Toyota and Daihatsu counterparts

    Thumb up6 Thumb down1
  • sebab murah, good la.

    Thumb up2 Thumb down4
  • Kau banyak cakap tapi kau, sedara kau, bini, anak, menantu, ada jer pakai kereta perodua. Piang punya orang

    Thumb up0 Thumb down3
  • When are we getting the 1.2liter 87hp WA-VE engine?

    Thumb up0 Thumb down0
  • See all the Perodua and Toyota models having ugly bumpers and skirtings. Like those designers came from Jinjang and Tanjung Karang.

    Thumb up0 Thumb down0
  • I feel like the reason why Toyota/Daihatsu/Perodua wanted to manufacture the Axia/Ayga/Ayla its because they wanted to make it as a modern Yugo GV and a modern Austin Maestro, two of the most bland, underpowered and unsafe cars in the history of humankind. And they just wanted to cheat us customers with their inaccurate car crash safety test results.

    Thumb up0 Thumb down0
  • Good design? Which part good?

  • Paid to say good thingsonJun 18, 2024at11:22 am

Ugh, another one of those syok sendiri awards.

A refrigerator-shaped tinbox on wheels without rear window heater/defroster, using bulbs in the rear taillights instead of the LEDs on the previous gen Axia and still powered by a gutless engine that makes more noise than it makes power.

This is called good design ah?
