A SECURE MESSAGING SYSTEM
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a system for checking the person with whom users are messaging and then detecting whether the person with whom they are messaging is the person meant to be, and preventing users from messaging with persons in bad faith.
Background of the Invention
Today, users can message with persons determined by them by running instant messaging services over their mobile devices. Users save the mobile number, the identity number or the registration number in the related instant messaging service of the person with whom they want to message to their mobile device and then they can communicate with them in a messaging session instantly. Besides, the mobile device of a messaging person can be captured by persons in bad faith. A person in bad faith can obtain important information of a user by manipulating the user as a person the user knows. Users can give their bank account information, identity information, home address, work address to a person in bad faith, upon being deceived by the said person in bad faith. In the state of the art, there is no solution for obtaining facial signature of users by processing their facial image before the user performing instant messaging sends an instant message to the other person, and enabling users to transmit an instant message content to the other person upon their facial signature is verified.
Due to the above-mentioned reasons, there is need for a system for obtaining facial signature of users by processing their facial image before the user performing instant messaging sends an instant message to the other person, and enabling users to transmit an instant message content to the other person upon their facial signature is verified.
The United States patent document no. US8331618, an application in the state of the art, discloses a method for monitoring instant messaging with visual identification. The method enables to detect video content included in the instant message traffic on a network at first. A facial recognition analysis is performed on the video content to extract one or more image having human facial features. Facial recognition analysis is performed by an analysis engine. One or more user identity is extracted from the instant message traffic. Image(s) and one or more user identity are stored in a log implemented in a memory on the network. An alert message is created in the event that the facial data obtained by the stored data do not match.
Summary of the Invention
An objective of the present invention is to realize a system for obtaining facial signature of users by processing their facial image before the user performing instant messaging sends an instant message to the other person, and enabling users to transmit an instant message content to the other person upon their facial signature is verified.
Detailed Description of the Invention
“A Secure Messaging System” realized to fulfil the objective of the present invention is shown in the figure attached, in which:
Figure l is a schematic view of the inventive secure messaging system. The components illustrated in the figure are individually numbered, where the numbers refer to the following:
1. System
2. Electronic device
3. Application
4. Database
5. Server
The inventive secure messaging system (1) checking the person with whom users are messaging and then detecting whether the person with whom they are messaging is the person meant to be, and preventing users from messaging with persons in bad faith comprises: at least one electronic device (2) which is configured to enable users to communicate with other persons over a network, and to capture the facial image of users by means of a camera located on it; at least one application (3) which runs on the electronic device (2), is configured to enable users to message with a determined person instantly, to initiate transactions that will enable to create the facial signature of a user from his/her facial image by accessing the camera in the electronic device (2); at least one database (4) which connects with the application (3) and is configured to store the facial images of persons, who use the application (3), that will be used in their facial signatures on it; and at least one server (5) which connects with the application (3) and the database (4), is configured to ensure that identity of users’ is verified by analysing their facial signature in the database (4) before the users start instant messaging and to enable a user whose identity is verified by facial signature to transmit instant message to a determined person. The electronic device (2) included in the inventive system (1) is a smart device such as mobile phone, tablet, computer which is used by a user and configured to enable a user to communicate with persons.
The application (3) included in the inventive system (1) is configured to ensure that camera images are used in facial signature of a user by providing access to the camera located on the electronic device (2). The application (3) is configured to enable users to select an identity authentication option by means of their facial signature via an interface located on it, to capture the facial image of users -who activated the identity authentication option by means of their facial signature- through the camera located on the electronic device (2), and to transmit the facial image of the users to the database (4).
The database (4) included in the inventive system (1) is configured to store the facial images of users that is captures by means of the electronic device (2) by connecting with the application (3), on it.
The server (5) included in the inventive system (1) is configured to check whether users activated an identity authentication option by means of their facial signature on the application (3) or not by connecting with the application (3), to receive the facial image of users who activated the identity authentication option by means of their facial signature from the database (4), to ensure that the facial signature of users is verified by matching the facial image of the users received from the database (4) with the users’ facial image that is captured over the application (3) instantly. The server (5) is configured to enable users to send instant message to a person they determine over the application (3), upon verifying their facial signature and to prevent users from performing instant messaging over the application (3) in the event that users cannot verify their facial signature. The server (5) is configured to transmit a warning message comprising the fact that the user is not reliable, to the person included in the application (3) when users cannot verify their facial signature.
In the inventive system (1), users perform instant messaging with a determined person by running the application (3) with the electronic device (2). When users activate the identity authentication option by means of their facial signature, the users’ facial image is captured by the camera located on the application (3) and then it is transmitted to the database (4). The server (5) creates the users’ facial signature by receiving the users’ facial image -who activated the identity authentication by means of their facial signature- from the database (4) upon connecting with the application (3). The server (5) compares the users’ instant facial image with their facial image in the database (4) by means of the electronic device (2) and then it is ensured that the users can perform instant messaging by using the application (3) upon they verify their facial signature.
With the inventive system (1), it is enabled to obtain facial signature of users by processing their facial image before the user performing instant messaging sends an instant message to the other person, and to enable users to transmit an instant message content to the other person upon their facial signature is verified.
It is possible to develop various embodiments of the inventive secure messaging system (1); the invention cannot be limited to examples disclosed herein and it is essentially according to claims.
