Abstract

The present invention relates to a shutter assembly for a glass panel of a display holder, such as a showcase or shop window display, for securing against smash and grab through breaking of the glass panel, the assembly comprising : - a shutter comprising an assembled array of shutter slats, - guide means for guiding the shutter during a movement thereof between a pre-adjustable open position and a closed position or for holding thereof in a closed position, - actuating means for actuating the movement from a stationary position, wherein - the shutter assembly is configured to protect the display holder by moving the shutter, upon actuation thereof, downward from the open position to the closed position under the influence of gravitational force.
