Abstract

A communication system is mainly composed of a transmission medium (2) such as a human body to which an information signal is transmitted through electric field; a transmitter (1) for applying electric field wherein the information signal is modulated to the transmission medium (2); and a receiver (3) which detects the electric field through the transmission medium (2) and demodulates the electric field into the information signal. The receiver (3) is provided with an electrode (31) for receiving the electric field from the transmission medium (2); a first coil (33) wound around a core (32) and is electrically connected to the electrode (31); a second coil (34) wound around the core (32) and magnetically coupled with the first coil (33); and a detecting circuit (35) for detecting a physical quantity induced by the second coil (34).
