InFIGS.1-7, the two types of shading indicate a contrast between the portions of the lateral side extension upon which they are found.

The embodiments of the shoe including the lateral side extension for midfoot of shoe sole shown inFIGS.1-7 is for a right foot. The embodiments of the shoe including the lateral side extension for midfoot of shoe sole for a left foot are mirror images of the embodiments shown inFIGS.1-7 about a sagittal plane of a human body.
