Referring by numerals to the accompanying drawing: 1 designates the front of the holder; having at the upper margin anintegral extension 2 in which there are V-shaped incisions 3 from which are struck thespurs 4, theextension 2 being bent downwardly and outwardly to stand in a positionforward of thefront 1, thespurs 4 being inclined toward the front as required to securely hold the holder within the pocket by engagement with the body of the pocket adjacent its top margin.

As shown the holder is provided with threeseparate springs 8, therefore, it is obvious that this particular form of holder i may hold separately and independently three separate articles or, as shown in Fig. 1, a ruler and pencil may be held. In this case, two of thesprings 8 engage and hold the ruler while thethird spring 8 engages the: pencil only. By reason of the arrangement of theback portions6and 7 the pocket fie 989,21

is held open for considerable of its length and the ruler or pencils are engaged only by said springs, thereby making the insertion of the rulers or pencils an easy operation for the reason that the pocket proper is fully expanded to receive them.
