The improved device is simple in construction, can be inexpensively manufactured, and applied to sashes of different sizes, and ell'ectually locks the sashes in closed position.
The casing and other parts may be oi any required size to adapt the device to sashes oi diifercnt sizes, and may be manufactured of any required material, or in any required ornamental shape.
Knobs are attached to the terminals 19-26 of the bolts 18-24 to improve the appearance.
IVhat is claimed is z-- 1. In a sash lock, a casing adapted to be attached to a window sash and having apertures arranged in opposite pairs, a lock bolt having a transverse notch and slidable through one pair of said casing apertures, a trip bolt slidable through the other pair of said easing apertures and provided with a transverse aperture through which said lock bolt operates and with one end of which said notch engages when the bolts are in one poe sition and-a keeper adapted to be connected to the other sash in position to receive said notched bolt when projected. z
