To all whom it Wtay concern:

Be it known that I, MAX WOHL, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York, in the county of New York and State of New York, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Toilet-Cabinets, of which the following is a specification, such as will enable those skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

The object of this invention is to provide an improved toilet or chamber cabinet which is designed for use in bedrooms, living-rooms, apartments, and other places, and the object of which is to provide a suitable receptacle or holder for various articles, such as shoes, blackening material, and other articles of convenience and necessity in a bedroom.

The invention is fully disclosed in the following specification, of which the accompanying drawings form a part, in which the separate parts of my improvement are designated by suitable reference characters in each of the views,'and in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of my improved toilet-cabinet with the lid or cover thereof turned back and a part of the construction broken away, and Fig. 2 a similar view showing the parts in a different position and the front thereof open.

In the practice of my invention I provide a box or case a, which is preferably rectangular and substantially square in form, and said box or case is provided with a cover I), which is hinged to the top back portion thereof and provided with link-supports c, pivotally connected therewith at c and with the box or case at 0 and two of which are employed at each side and pivotally connected at c. The box or case a is also provided with a horizontal partition (1, by means of which said box or case is divided into a lower compartment e and an upper compartment f, and thelower compartment 6 is provided with hinged doors 6' and may be used as a receptacle for boots, shoes, and other articles.

The upper compartmentf is provided with asupplemental case g, which is hinged to the partition (1, which forms the bottom of said compartment at the back thereof, as shown at 9 and in thesupplemental case 9 is a drawer h, which is adapted to be drawn out forwardly when said supplemental case is lowered into its normal position, as shown in Fig. 1, and the drawer h is designed to hold blackening, brushes, and any other articles which it may be desired to place therein.

The horizontal partition (1, which forms the bottom of the top compartment 7", is provided centrally with a circular opening '5, the walls of which are provided at the bottom thereof with'an'inwardly-directed flange 0r rim 1?, designed to support a chamber-potj, the top rim of which rests on the flange or rim 1?, and said opening is provided at one side with a recess '6 designed to receive the handle of the chamber-pot.

The bottom of the supplemental case g is also preferably provided with a cover j for the chamber-potj, which may be composed of any suitable material, but which is not absolutely necessary.

My improved toilet-cabinet may be composed of any desired material and will constitute a great convenience and may be so made as to form an attractive article of furniture.

Having fully described myinvention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- 1. A device of the class described, comprising a box or case having a hinged cover and a horizontal partition forming top and bottom compartments, the bottom compartment being provided at the front with doors and the top compartment with a supplemental case which is hinged in the back portion thereof, said partition being also provided centrally with an opening adapted to serve as a support for a chamber-pot, substantially as shown and described.

2. A device of the class described, comprising a box or case having a hinged cover and a horizontal partition forming top and bottom compartments, the bottom compartment being provided at the front with doors and the top compartment with a supplemental case which is hinged in the back portion thereof, said partition being also provided centrally with an opening adapted to serve as a support for a chamber-pot, and said supplernental case being provided with a drawer, substantially as shown and described.
