TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Be it known that I, A. J. STOVR, of Sandyville, Iowa, haveinvented certain new and useful Improvements in Stove-Fluo Supporters; and I hereby declare that the following is a true, full, and exact'deseription of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon. In the annexed drawings, which make a. part of this specification- Figure 1 represents a side view of my flue-supporter.A
Figure 2 is a plan view of the same. i
Figure 3 is a plan vien'r of the segments embracing thestove-pipe.
Figure 4 is a plan view of the washer-plate. I V
The letter A, fig. I, represents a square plate of metal, with a hole. in its centre to admit a stove-pipe; the edges of said pipe, around the hole, being serrated for the purpose of diminishing the degreeiof beat communicated from the plate A to the pipe. b designate two semicircular pieces of metal, with flanges on their inner edge, which flanges will beinserted in thel'hoie made for the pipe, and Vmade to embrace said pipe. Inox-der to'admit the aix` to circulate between the plate A and the flanges on b b, a series of openings will be made in A, where it comes in Contact with said flanges. By this arrangement the plate A will be less affected by the radiation of heat from the stove-pipe. The plate A is perforated near each of its angles` in order to receive the four iron-.bolts d, which said bolts are designed to pass through proximatejeints and through the washer-plates e, and secured in their position by nuts g. The plate being now in condition to bear any superincumbent weight, the flue may be built upon it without any danger of its communicating tire.
Having thus described my invention` what Iiclaim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is,-
The plate A, the segments Z1 l, the bolts d, and washer-plates g, the whole combined and operating as and for the purpose herein described,
In testimony whereof, I set my hand in presence of two witnesses.
ANDREW J. STOVER.
