AFSULE FOR MEDICINES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. I710,060, dated September 80, 1902.
Application filed J une l1, 1902. Serial No. 111,224. (No model.)
To a/ZZ whom zit may concern,.-
Be it known that I, DEsIDERIUs SIEGERIED KNN, a subject of the Emperor of Austria- Hungary, residing at Kgl. Weinberge, near Prague, in the Kingdom of Bohemia and Empire of Austria-Hun gary, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Capsules for Medicinal Purposes; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
Itis well known that in order to do away with the moistening of the edges of capsules the so-called dry-closing capsules were introduced.
The object of the piesent invention is the production of a dry-closing capsule for inedicinal purposes which consists of two cupshaped parts, one with a double wall, the parts being capable of being introduced one into the other.
In the accompanying drawings, Figure l shows the parts of the capsule separated. Fig. 2 shows the capsule closed or made up.
The essential feature of this capsule consists in providing one half with a double wall c, in which the second half b is secured after being introduced therein.
It must be noted that the fuller the capsule and the heavier the charge with which it is filled the better will be the closure, as the inner side of the double wall c of the half ct is pressed against the second half h, thereby forming a perfectly-safe closure and aiording all the advantages of a dry-closing capsule.
Having now described nIy invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
As a new article of manufacture, a dryclosing capsule, consisting of two cup-shaped parts capable of being introduced one within the other, one of said parts having a double wall within which the other part engages, substantiallyas described.
Inwitness whereof I have hereunto set my hand in presence of two witnesses.
