5 Claim, 3 Drawing Figures 1 FOOT CAST SHOE TYPE COVER DESIGNATION OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to a foot cast shoe type cover.
The principal object of the invention is to provide a foot cast shoe type cover for permitting a cast to be walked on without damage to the cast.
In order that the invention may be readily carried into effect, it will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing, wherein:
FIG. 1 is a side view of an embodiment of the foot cast shoe type cover of the invention;
FIG. 2 is a front view of the embodiment of FIG. 1; and
FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of the foot cast shoe cover of the invention being put on a cast-encased foot.
In the FIGURES the same components are identified by the same reference numerals.
The foot cast shoe type cover of the invention is for covering afoot 1 encased in acast 2. The foot cast shoe type cover comprises a sock type foot cover 3 of stretchable waterproof material having a sole part 4.
A shoe type sole 5 (FIGS. 1, 2 and 3) is provided on the sole part 4 of the foot cover 3. A shoe type heel 6 (FIG. 1) is provided on the bottom of thecast 2. The sole part 4 of the cover 3 has a heelaccommodating hole 7 formed there through (FIGS. 1 and 3). Each of the sole 5 and heel 6 comprises rubber.
An intermediate layer ofsponge rubber 8 is provided -2 between the sole 5 and the sole part 4 of the foot cover 3.
A fastener 9 (FIG. 2) of any suitable type such as, for example, a zipper, velcro, laces and grommets, including a tongue, or the like, is provided on the foot cover 3 for facilitating the taking off and putting on of the shoe type cover.
The shoe type cover of the invention comprises an integral unit.
I claim: 1. A foot cast shoe type cover for covering a foot encased in a cast, comprising a sock type foot cover of stretchable waterproof material having a sole part; a shoe type sole on the sole part of the foot cover;
and a heel accommodating hole in the sole part of the foot cover. 2. A foot cast shoe type cover as claimed inclaim 1,
wherein each of the sole and heel comprises rubber.
3. A foot cast shoe type cover as claimed inclaim 2, further comprising an intermediate layer of sponge rubber between the sole and the sole part of the foot cover.
4. A foot cast shoe type cover as claimed inclaim 2, further comprising fastening means on the foot cover for facilitating the taking off and putting on of the shoe type cover.
5. A foot cast shoe type cover as claimed in claim 4,
wherein the cover comprises an integral unit.
