GOLFING GLOVE I Filed June 12, 1969 INVENTOR. MICHAEL Skovflo u F I G. 3 BY United States Patent O1 3,559,212 GOLFING GLOVE Michael Skovron, 439 W. Arlington Road, Erie, Pa. 16509 Filed June 12, 1969, Ser. No. 832,694 Int. Cl. A41d 19/00 US. Cl. 2-161 5 Claims ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A golfers glove for the three finger control in the left hand guiding the club. The fingers of the glove have Velcro on their outside and an elastic flap having Velcro on both ends is attached to the glove at the base of the thumb and is attachable to the Velcro on the fingers. Thus the fingers may be held in closed grip position and the grip of the fingers controls the golf club.
STATEMENT OF INVENTION This invention relates to gloves and, more particularly, to gloves for use by golfers to improve their golf game.
REFERENCE TO PRIOR ART Patent 2,083,604 is an example of the prior art of golf gloves. This patent shows a glove with a strap and buckles used to reinforce the grip of the third and little fingers of the left hand.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the invention to provide an improved glove for golfers.
Another object is to provide a glove for golfers wherein three fingers of the gloved hand are held firmly to the palm for a better grip on the club.
Another object is to provide a glove with an elastic flap having Velcro for holding the hand in firm grip relation on the club.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS FIG. 1 is a view of the golfers glove with the elastic flap disconnected as before use.
FIG. 2 is a view of the golfers glove with the elastic flap connected, holding the fingers firmly to the club.
FIG. 3 is a view of the golfers glove with the elastic flap removed and the gloved hand holding the club in a natural manner.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS Now with more particular reference to the drawings, they show agolf club handle 20 with a head indicated at 30 in combination with aglove 18. Thegolf club handle 20 is wrapped with tape in a conventional manner and the glove shown is intended to be used on the left hand of the golfer, the reason being that the left hand is the hand which controls the club during the golf swing and the non-professional golfers fingers sometimes do not have enough strength to positively control the club.
The glove is shown with the conventional fingers, index finger 22 andthumb 19. Thethumb 19 has a strip of Velcro attached to the base of it adjacent the palm and the strip of Velcro :10 is in alignment with thethumb 19 and extends generally parallel to thethumb 19 along the base of the palm at the side thereofremote from the fingers. Themiddle finger 11 and thelittle finger 13, as well as thering finger 12 between the little finger and middle finger, each have a strip of Velcro fixed to them as shown and the elastic flap 2.1 has two spaced strips of Velcro 16 and 17 fixed to it. The elastic Patented Feb. 2., 1971flap 21 is bifurcated at one end and has thelegs 14 and 15 which are spanned by the strip of Velcro 16. The first strip of Velcro 10 is attached to the glove along a line generally parallel to thethumb 19.Second strip 16 andthird strip 17 are generally perpendicular tofirst strip 10 when the flap is attached. The strip of Velcro 16 is intended to attach to the Velcro 11, 12 and 13 on the three fingers of the hand as shown. Thus when the user grips his club and fastens the strip of Velcro 17 to thestrip 10, he may attach thestrip 16 to thestrips 11, 12 and 13 to help hold his hand in the preferred gripping position. Then he will grasp the club with his right hand and execute his usual swing. The Velcro material which may be used is of a type sold under the trademark VELCRO and may be of the type shown in Patent 2,717,437.
The bifurcatedlegs 14 and 15 hold the little finger 1-3 andmiddle finger 11 with equal tension.
The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property or privilege is claimed are defined as follows:

said gripping means being adapted to continuously support the fingers of the wearer in handle gripping relation,
said gripping means comprises a velvet like material having a woof and a warp cut at a predetermined length, forms locks on a portion of the threads and is made of a synthetic fabric,
said velvet like material is attached to said glove in a first strip extending along a line parallel to said thumb, and a second strip of said velvet material is attached to said flap generally perpendicular to said first strip.
2. The glove recited in claim 1 wherein said flap is elastic and said gripping means is attached to the backs of said three fingers of the glove and said elastic flap is attached to the edge of the palm of the glove removed from the base of the fingers.

said gripping means being adapted to continuously support the fingers of the wearer in handle gripping relation,
said gripping means comprises a velvet type fabric having a woof and a warp cut at a predetermined length, forms locks on a portion of the threads and is made of a synthetic fabric, said flap is elastic and said gripping means is attached to the backs of said three fingers of the glove and said elastic flap is attached to the edge of the palm of the glove removed from the base of the fingers,
said elastic flap has a bifurcated end remote from said said bifurcated end having at least two strips of Velcro thereon, one of said strips of Velcro spans said bifurcated ends,
one of said strips being adapted to be selectively attached to said Velcro on said fingers.
4. The glove recited in claim 3 wherein each of the little finger, middle finger and the ring finger therebetween of said glove has a strip of Velcro on it,
