Marino and Anthony M. Heldere, both' of 559 Encinitas Avet, San Biego, Calin, and Adolph Graf' von Soden, 3909 Riviera Drive, San Diego, Calif.
Filed Sept/20,1962, Ser. No. 224,976 2 Claims. (Cl. Sil-367) ybolts or studs, also for driving nails, finish nails in cabinet work Iand dowel pins, removing pins and keys, leather stenciling, riveting and heading or" pins, rivets or the like, the use of said hand tool being accomplished without the useofa conventional hammer.
Acc-ordingly an object of the invention is to provide av hand tool that maybe made an integral part of a stapler, or be made a detachable part thereof, sothat said hand tool may he used in inaccessible places or such positions where the use of a conventional hammer and a tool is impossible.
A further object of the invention is to provide said hand tool with a base having a center punch and a hingedly detachable and interchangeable scale rule, so that a measurern'ent'such as a radius may be easily taken and scribed and'also a center punch may be easily employedand applied.`
Another object of the invention is to provide said hand tool with a suitable tool bit frame whichmay be detachable orbe made an integral partthereof, said tool bit frame having means for supporting a removable cutting tool orbit' in position when said hand tool is in use.
A further object of the invention is to provide a suitable tool bit witha detachable chuck means adapted for regulating'and for controlling the cutting position of said tool bit when same is in use and actuated by the reciprocating mechanism provided in said hand tool.
Another object of the invention is to provide said hand tool with means Which may be reciprocal or a gear driven cam'and operableby a suitable electrical motor, hydraulic or pneumatic unit or the like, adapted for securing oscillating motion for the tool bit attached thereto when in use.`
The invention also has for its objects to provide such means that are positive in operation, convenient in use,
. easily installed in a working position and easily disconected therefrom, economical in manufacture, relatively simple, and of general superiority and serviceability.
Other and further objects and advantages of the invention as will hereinafter more fully appear, are attained bythe construction herein shown on the drawings and described in the speciiication, forming a part of the application.
Reference is had to the accompanying drawings, in whichthesimilar reference characters denote the same parts.
