The invention relates to improvements in a service creeper transport having a border structure for the protection and insulation of multiple segregated artificial lighting elements, to assist the visualizing of objects to be viewed, and to prevent the glare of light from interfering with the workmans vision during manually operative control.
Stating the nature of the case generally and as is evident from a general inspection of the drawing, the invention relates to that -category of structures grouped under the classification of workmans garage Creepers and has for its primary object means provided to approximately surround the creeper and operator with multiple articial lighting elements submerged in a structure below the sides and to the rear of the workmans visual focus, pending operative control when the operator is rendering service in a lieing position on said creeper.
A further object of my invention is to provide a semi-cylindrical transparent insert that will cover, protect and transmit rays produced by the lighting elements, by the placing of and forming a transparent flexible plastic material between a top and a bottom layer of mesh Wire.
Another object of my invention is to provide a reflector submerged adjacent to lighting elements, to enclose light area and to assist the light rays to be transmitted through a transparent plastic insert, including a means for transmitting air through said reector.
A still further object of my invention is to provide a sectional conduit composed of adjacent members that provide means for insulation and protection of segregated lighting elements, including means for dismounting a section of said conduit pending the renewing of disabled parts.
Another object of my invention is to provide means for a cooling and Ventilating gravity air flow through composed openings to dismiss heat produced by the lighting elements.
With the above and other objects in view to appear hereafter my invention consists in the novel features of construction of parts to be hereinafter described and more particularly pointed out in the subjoined claims.

Figure 5 is a detail of channel insert that coincides with a recess formed in a side member to form a conduit extending around the remote perimeter of a Creeper border structure.
Referring to the drawing in detail the Creeper border structure embodiesside members 9 and I3 which are attached to the bedl I by means of bolts orscrews 22.
Side members 9 and I8 respectively have their ends 4 connected to anelongated channel member 23 in any suitable and well known manner, including the step of fabricating a likenarrow channel member 23 as aforesaid to supportside members 9 and I8 at intervals throughout lighting area, the same saidnarrow channel member 23 form a seat for insert members 6.
A reflector l2 is positioned subjacent the lighting elements, supported by the bed l andmembers 9 and l 8 including the step of providing openings |4 for air to pass through.
I place within the border like structure Figure 2 light bulbs 'l inserted in receptacles of the two piece screw lock type assembled in holes i3, the Wires Within a current conducting cord l5 are assembled inconduit 3 and 2| and are attached to said receptacles. The cord may be of any desired length and has means for connecting with a plug, socket or the like located in any suitable place so that current will'be supplied to the electric bulbs or other lighting elements whenever the device is placed in use. The means of connecting the electric cord to the light bulbs 'I or such artificial lighting elements will of course be apparent and requires no particular illustration or explanation.
The lighting elements I will create considerable heat within the structure 223, for this reason I have arranged composed air openings ll, l l and Hi inside members 9 and I3 and in reflector I2 to create a gravity air circulation, for the escape of the heat produced within thestructure 20.
In the particular arrangement shown it will of course be apparent that means be provided to transmit the light from Within and protect the lighting elements from without, to protect said lighting elements and to transmit said light. Elements 6 and 8 form light transmitting protection covers, composed of a transparent nexble plastic material 8, formed between a top and a bottom ply of mesh wire 6.
For transmitting electric current to said creeper, a suitable extension plugin means is attached to receptacle I'I, and wiring I5. A circuit breaker switch I6, turns off the lighting means 1.
The creeper as a whole Fig. 1 is supported by multiple swivel-casters 2, which revolve in clearance openings I9.
Channel members 4 provide storage space for tool and parts pans 5.
A worlcmans head-rest 24 is attached to the creeper bed I in any suitable manner.
In Fig. 5, the top and bottom sides ofchannel 3 have lugs Ill- I0 formed at intervals, providing means for attaching saidchannel member 3 to side members Iii-I8, to provide a de-v tachable sectional conduit.
Having thus described my invention what I claim is:
1. A mechanics creeper of the character described comprising: a hollow upstanding border structure about two sides and one end of the creeper, said hollow border structure having a plurality of light transmitting openings in the top side thereof, a plurality of light sources mountedr in said hollow border structure below said openings, and a. light transmitting protective cover mounted over each of said openings.
2.
