A further object of the invention is to provide a folder having pockets arranged at an angle to each other so that the stitching of the sides of the pockets is simplified.

A further object of the invention is to provide a folder of the above-mentioned character so constructed that bills may be stripped from the folder while the flap of the folder is retained in the closed position.

A further object of the invention is to provide a stop to limit the movement of the bills toward the closed edge of the partition.

Other objects and advantages of the invention will be apparent during the course of the following description.

' As a result of this arrangement there is apocket 32 inwardly of and next to theside 32 and this pocket has its open end next to theflap 38 to be covered by this flap. This pocket may serve to hold coins or the like. There is asecond pocket 33 between thesides 36 and 33, and this second pocket is closed at its top and bottom and closed at one edge and is open at the edge 33'. This pocket may be employed for holding small papers or the like;

The advantage in forming the folder ofseparate blanks 25 and 3I and aseparate flap 38 is that thesides 26 and 21 and theflap 38 which are visible when the folder is closed, may be formed of more attractive or expensive material. I contemplate forming theside 26 integral with theside 32, instead of having these parts stitched together, as shown in Figure 9, and I also contemplate forming theflap 38 integral with theside 32.

The partition including theside 32 may be arranged over theside 26 and the bills placed uponthe'sides 26 and 21 and beneath this partition. The side 21 with the bills is then folded over the partition and the side 21 held closed by attaching theflap 38 to the side 21 by the snap fastener. The free corner of theside 26 may be bent back and the bills stripped from the folder without opening theflap 38.

In Figure 11, I have shown a modification of the blank 3| which produces a pocket book without the use of the blank 25. In Figure 11, the blank does not have thenotch 35 and theside 32 has a longitudinal tongue or extension 31', corresponding to thetongue 36. Both of these tongues are folded inwardly upon the inner face of theside 32. Theside 36 is folded upon the inner face of theside 33 and theside 32, tongue 31',side 33, andside 36 are secured together by a line ofstitching 44. The opposite longitudinal edges of thesides 32 andside 36 and tongue 36' are secured together by the line ofstitching 43. Theflap 38 is secured to theside 33 by a snap fastener including elements 45 and 46. Thesame pocket 32 is provided which opens at the top beneath theflap 38 and thesame pocket 33 is provided opening at its side edge 33'.

In assembling the various sides of the folder the tongue I31 is folded inwardly over the inner face of the side I38. The side I48 is folded upon the line II outwardly with respect tothe side I H to be arranged upon the outer face of the side I and the tongues I52- are folded outwardly with respect to the side I48 and the tongues I52 therefore engage over the edges of the side I H and are arranged upon the inner face of the side I4I while the face I48 is positioned upon the outer face of the side I. The tongue I32 is folded inwardly over the inner face of the side I29 and the free longitudinal edge of the side I36 is inserted beneath this folded over tongue I32 with the notch I43 receiving the stop I34. The folding line I41 is arranged near and spaced from the folding line I3I to provide room for the folded bills. With the parts thus arranged the superposed sides I48 and HI are moved over the inner face of the side I36. At the edge of the folder carrying the tongue I31, the side I48, side I,

The bill holding unit is provided with a partition including the side I36 and this partition has a folding edge I41 about which the bills are folded when placed upon the sides I28 and I29, and the side I28 folded over the partition. The side I48 forms with the side I4I a pocket I68, having its open end arranged inwardly adjacent to the folding line I41. If the side I48 is equipped with the window, it may be advantageously employed for holding an identification card or the like. The side I forms with the side I36 a pocket IIiI, the open end of which is arinvention herewith shown and described are to be taken as preferred examples of the same and that various changes in the shape, size, and arrangement of parts may beresorted to without departing from the spirit of my invention or the scope of the subjoined claims.

Having thus describedmy invention, what I claim is:

1. A bill folder comprising a first side havinga longitudinal tongue folded upon the inner face of the first side, a second side carried by the first side and foldable over the same upon a transverse If desired, this line of stitching need not' second sides and having a longitudinal tongue ,ioldable upon the inner face of the third side, a fourth side carried by the third side and foldable over the third side upon a transverse line, the third side having a notch in its longitudinal edge adjacent to the transverse folding line of the fourth side, the third side being positioned upon the inner face of the first side with its longitudinal edge arranged beneath the turned over tongue of the first side, both turned over tongues being positioned upon the inner face of the third side adjacent to its opposite longitudinal edges, the fourth side being folded over the third side and arranged in superposed relation with the tongues, lines of stitching securing together the superposed third side, folded over tongues and fourth side, the folded over tongue of the first side extending into the notch and projecting below the same to form a stop to limit the movement of the bills in that direction.

2. A bill folder comprising a first side having a longitudinal tongue folded upon the inner face of the first side, a second side carried by the first first side with its longitudinal edge arranged be-.

3. A bill folder comprising a first side having I a longitudinal tongue folded over upon one face of the first side, a second side carried by the first side and foldable over the same upon a transverse line, the first and second sides forming a bill holding unit, a third side having a longitudinal tongue foldable over upon one face of the third side, a fourth side carried by the third side andfoldable over the third side upon a trans verse line, the third and fourth sides being formed separate from the first and second sides, the fourth side having one longitudinal edge cut away, a fifth side carried by the fourth side and foldable over the same upon a transverse line, the third side being positioned upon the face of the first side with its longitudinal edge arranged beneath the turned .over tongue of the first side, both turned over tongues being positioned upon the same face of the third side adjacentto its opposite longitudinal edges, the fifth side being arranged upon the folded over tongues and disposed between the third side and the fourth side, lines of stitching securing together the third side, the tongue of the first side, the fifth side and the which are connected and foldable about a transverse line so that the sides assume an opposed closed position, a partition arranged between the opposed sides and carried by one side and foldable about a longitudinal line, the inner end of carried by the outer end of the third side to cover 10 ing line being open, said partition having a transthe open end of the vertical pocket, and means to connect the flap with the second side.

A bill folder comprising a first side, a second side carried by the first side and foldable over the same upon a transverse line, the first and second sides forming a bill holding unit, a third side carried by the first side'and foldable upon a longitudinal line to be arranged over the first side, a fourth side carried by the thirdside and foldable'over the third side upon a transverse line, the fourth side having one longitudinal edge cut away, a fifth side carried by the fourth side and foldable over the same upon a transverse line, the fifth side being arranged between the third side and fourth side, a line of stitching se-.

curing together the third side and the fifth side and the fourth side at one edge and a line of stitching securing together the third side and the fifth side at the opposite edge, the third side and fifth side forming a longitudinal pocket open at the outer end of the third side and the fifth side and the fourth side-forming a' transverse pocket open at the cut away edge of the fourth side, a flap carried by the third side to cover the open end of the longitudinal pocket, and means to attach the flap to the second side.

A bill folder comprising a bill holding unit including connected sides, one side being foldable upon a transverse line over the inner face of the first side, and a partition attached to the longitudinal edge of one side and foldable inwardly over the inner face of such side, said partition having a bill folding edge arranged near the transverse folding line of said sides, said partition also having a stop element extending beyond the folding edge of the partition and arranged adjacent to the attached edge of the partition to limit the movement of bills in that direction, a flap carried by the end of the partition remote from the inner bill folding edge, and means to sec re t e ap to the side of thebill holding unit 50 which does not carry the partition, the arrangement being such that the outer corner of the side which carries the partition is free to be bent back.

A bill folder comprising first and second sides which are connected and foldable about a transverse line so that the sides assume an opposed closed position, a partition arranged between the opposed sides and carried by one side and foldable about a longitudinal line, the inner end of the partition being arranged adjacent to the transverse folding line, said partition having a longitudinal pocket, the outer end of the longitudinal pocket remote from the transverse folding line being open, said partition having a transverse pocket, the longitudinal edge of the transverse pocket being .open, a flap carried by the outer end of the partition and foldable over the outer open, end of the first named pocket, and means to attach the flap to the side which does not carry the partition, the side which carries the partition having its outer corner free tobe bent back without detaching the flap from the other side.

A bill folder comprising first and second sides the partition being arranged adjacent to the transverse folding line, said partition having a longitudinal pocket, the outer end of the longitudinal pocket remote from the transverse foldverse pocket, the longitudinal edge of the transverse pocket remote from the longitudinal folding line of the partition being open, a flap carried by the outer end of the partition and fold- 5 able over the outer open end of the firstnamed pocket, and means to attach the flap to the side which does not carry the partition, the side which carries the partition having its outer corner free to be bent back without detaching the flap from the other side.

A bill folder comprising first and second sides which are connected and foldable about a transverse line so that the sides assume an opposed closed position, a partition arranged between the opposed sides and carried by one side and foldable about a longitudinal line, the inner end of the partition being arranged adjacent to the transverse folding line, said partition having a longitudinal pocket disposed next to the side which carries the partition, the outer end of the longitudinal pocket remote from the transverse folding line being open, said partition having a transverse pocket disposed upon that side of the longitudinal pocket which is remote from the side which carries the partition, the longitudinal ing its outer corner free to be bent back without detaching the flap from the. other side.

A bill folder comprising a bill holding unit including sides, one side being foldable upon a transverse line over the inner face of the first side, a partition carried by the longitudinal edge of one side and foldable inwardly over a longitudinal line upon theinner face of such side, said partition having a transverse folding edge ar'- ranged near and spaced from said transverse folding line, and a stop carried by the billholding unit and projecting laterally outwardly with respect to the bill holding-unit beyond said longitudinal folding line, said stop element having its outer end terminating substantially at the transverse folding edge of the partition and'its inner end terminatin substantially at said transverse folding line, the ends of said stop element being spaced longitudinally of the bill holding unit, said stop element serving to retain the bills spaced from the longitudinal edge of the side which carries the partition.
