The present invention relates to a bottle rack and the object of the invention is to provide means whereby bottles may be stored in a convenient and accessible manner and being readily releasable from the rack.

With the above and numerous other objects in view as will appear as the description proceeds, the invention consists in certain novel features of construction, and in the combination and arrangement of parts as will be hereinafter more fully described and claimed.

Figure 1 is a top plan view of the rack embodying the features of my invention.

Referring to the drawings in detail it will be seen that numerals 5 denote end members in which are fixed side members 6-6 and partition members 6'. In between a pair of side members orpartition members 6 and 6 aretrack members 1 arranged in pairs and the pairs are provided on inner sides with grooves 8.Guide members 9 are provided on their sides with tongues l 0 slidable in the grooves. The underside of eachmember 9 is formed with a longitudinally extending groove 9'. Springs l I are seated in the grooves 9' and are connected at one end to themembers 9 and connected at their opposite ends to one of the members 5. In this way it will be seen that in the rack the bottles 20 are naturally urged to one end of the rack structure. As shown in the drawings the left hand end of the members 8 are provided withuprights 2| and on the upper ends thereof as at 22 members for engaging the bottles.

It is thought that the construction, operation, utility and advantages of this invention will now be quite apparent to those skilled in this art without a more detailed description thereof.

The present embodiment of the invention has been described in considerable detail merely for the purposes of exemplification since in actual practice it attains the features of advantage enumerated as desirable in the statement of the invention and the above description.

It will be apparent that changes in the details of construction, and in the combination and ar rangement of parts may be resorted to without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed or sacrificing any of its advantages.

Having thus described my invention what is claimed as new is:

A rack of the class described comprising a trackway including a pair of spaced parallel bottom rails having guide channels in their opposed sides, a slide member flush with the surfaces of the rails and having tongues fitted in said channels, a groove in the under side of the slide member, spring means extending longitudinally between the rails and seated in said groove of the slide member, said spring having one end attached to the under side of the slide member for urging the same in one direction, an L-shaped member having its base secured to the upper surface of the slide member adapted to underly a bottle positioned on the slide member and an arcuate horizontal block secured to the upper end of said L-shaped member for engaging and moving the bottle during movement of the slide member.
