Abstract

A sock comprised of heal, arch and toe portions with targeted compression is disclosed. In general, the invention presents a five finger toe sock which provides for a combination of support and constriction points that specifically target and is conducive to blood flow of the common users foot. The five finger sock with strategic targeting points is selected by the customer and worn with regular shoes to increase blood flow, movement, vasodilation, and comfort.

Description

FIELD OF INVENTION
• In general, the present invention relates to socks technology, and in particular a sock which provides for a combination of support and constriction points that specifically targets and is conducive to blood flow of the common users foot.
RELATED APPLICATIONS
• U.S. Pat. No. 7,069,600B1: An anatomic dry athletic toe sock includes a sock shaft section with a shaft support section to encircle a lower part of a leg of a wearer and to maintain the sock in proper orientation upon a wearer's leg, and a closed foot section adapted to receive the foot of the wearer.
• U.S. Pat. No. 10,456,287B2: A therapeutic sock is formed from a knit sock body formed in a tubular shape and terminating in a closed toe portion, the toe portion being divided into a first compartment configured accommodating a big toe and at least one additional compartment for other toes.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
• The human body has about 60,000 miles of blood vessels. Along with the heart and other muscles, they make up your circulatory system. This network of roadways carries blood to every corner of your body and that includes the feet. But when circulation is poor, it slows or blocks the blood flow. That means cells in the body can't get all the oxygen and nutrients they need.
• When your limbs can't get enough blood, your hands or feet may feel cold or numb. If you're light-skinned, your legs might get a blue tinge. Poor circulation also can dry your skin, turn your nails brittle, and make your hair fall out, especially on your feet and legs. And if you have diabetes, your scrapes, sores, or wounds tend to heal slower.
• Compression socks and stockings are designed for compression therapy. They apply gentle pressure to your legs and ankles, promoting blood flow from your legs to your heart. Compression socks can also reduce pain and swelling in your ankles and legs. Compression socks put a bit of squeeze on your legs so your blood doesn't hang around too long. Instead, it'll move back up to your heart.
• On the other hand, because in a five-finger sock the toes are separated it encourages proper movement compared to regular socks. The increased movement generates blood circulation, which then lets your feet remain warm the natural way. Moreover, the body heat will signal the optimum warmth needed depending on the situation and stay maintained as a form of natural temperature. Compared to most regular socks—Toe Socks have no seams, guaranteeing comfort that won't restrict blood circulation.
• In addition, with conventional socks the feeling in our feet remains restricted but with toe socks that isn't the case. Due to the design of enabling each toe to function separately the function and feeling is enhanced. This maximizes performance and endurance, which is why these socks are perfect for athletes of any kind/normal use.
• This disclosure presents a five-finger toe sock which provides for a combination of support and constriction points that specifically targets and is conducive to blood flow of the common users foot.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
• The following summary is an explanation of some of the general inventive steps for the system, method, architecture and tools in the description. This summary is not an extensive overview of the invention and does not intend to limit the scope beyond what is described and claimed as a summary.
• Presently, there are socks available that provide support and or constriction at various points depending on the customers preference. While constriction may be targeting at a particular point of the customers foot, there is currently no sock which provides for a combination of support and constriction points that specifically targets and is conducive to blood flow of the common users foot.
• The present invention deploys a combination of support and constriction points that promotes unrestricted blood flow throughout the users foot, resulting in improved movement. Primarily, the sock comprises of heal, arch and toe portions. The five finger sock with strategic targeting points is selected by the customer and worn with regular shoes.
• These targeted points are combined with a 5 finger sock to further increase the benefits of improved movement to each toe. Increased blood flow, movement, vasodilation, and comfort. The length of the sock can vary from knee high to just above the ankle.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
• In the first embodiment according toFIG. 1 of the diagrams, it is illustrated a five finger sock in accordance with this disclosure. The diagram illustrates a sock with aninlet section4 and asole section5, together forming a wearable sock that covers the foot of a human. The inlet section allows a human foot to enter into the sock, wherein the heel, arch, sole and toes of the foot are covered by the sole section of the foot. Moreover, the sock has aheel compression section1, anarch compression section2 and atoe section3. The saidheel section1 comprises of a compression zone characterized in that the material in the compression zone exerts pressure onto the heel of a foot producing a significant compression effect as compared to the adjacent zones. The saidarch section2 comprises of a compression zone characterized in that the material in the compression zone exerts pressure on the arch of a foot producing a constriction effect in the targeted arch section. The saidtoe section3 comprising of compression finger sections characterized in that for each toe, a compression is applied producing a compression effect compared to the adjacent zones of the foot.
• In a second embodiment according toFIG. 2 of the diagrams is an illustration of another embodiment of a five finger sock in accordance with this disclosure. It illustrates has aheel compression section10, anarch compression section11 and atoe section12, wherein thecompression zone11 comprises of restrictive band-like material that provides a constriction on a small section around the foot arch, typically around the arch and sole of the foot.
• FIG. 3 of the diagrams demonstrates an ankle sock embodiment of a five finger sock in accordance with this disclosure. It comprises of atruncated inlet section23, aheel compression section20, anarch compression section21 and atoe section22.
• FIG. 4 of the diagrams is an embodiment of a five finger sock in accordance with this disclosure demonstrating an extended inlet section and a distributed compression zone. It comprises of aheel compression section30, anarch compression section31 and atoe section32. The thecompression zone31 comprises of a generally distributed compression zone on the arch of a foot.
• FIG. 5 of the diagrams is an embodiment of a five finger sock in accordance with this disclosure demonstrating a compression section along the bottom of the sock sole. It comprises of aheel compression section40, anarch compression section41 and atoe section42, wherein the arch compression zone is characterized by a lateral section along the bottom of the sock sole that would typically be in contact with the foot sole and heel. For example, the compression zone may be one that acts on the heel, arch and sole consecutively such as having a continuous compression along the bottom of the sole from the heel to the toe of the sock.
• In a final embodiment according toFIG. 6 of the diagrams is an embodiment of a five finger sock in accordance with this disclosure demonstrating aheel compression section50, anarch compression section51 and atoe section52, wherein the arch compression zone demonstrates a constriction arch section embodying restrictive band-like material. The said arch compression zone comprises of restrictive band-like material such as rubber bands or sections of compression bands on the arch that provides a constriction on a small section around the foot arch. The sock may further have an extended inlet section, or a truncated one provided that it has all three compression zones.

Claims (7)

What is claimed is:

1. A sock that comprises of:

an inlet section and a sole section knit into a unit that comprises of a heel section, an arch section and a five-finger toe section;

said heel section comprising of a compression zone characterized in that the material in the compression zone exerts pressure onto the heel of a foot producing a significant compression effect as compared to the adjacent zones;

said arch section comprising of a compression zone characterized in that the material in the compression zone exerts pressure on the arch of a foot producing a constriction effect in the targeted arch section, and;

said toe section comprising of compression finger sections characterized in that for each toe, a compression is applied producing a compression effect compared to the adjacent zones of the foot.

2. A sock according toclaim 1, wherein said sock comprises of a truncated inlet section to make up an ankle sock.

3. A sock according toclaim 1, wherein said sock comprises of an extended inlet section to make up a knee-high sock.

4. A sock according toclaim 1, wherein the arch compression zone is characterized by a lateral section along the bottom of the sock sole that would typically be in contact with the foot sole and heel.

5. A sock according toclaim 1, wherein said arch compression zone comprises of restrictive band-like material that provides a constriction on a small section around the foot arch.

6. A sock according toclaim 1, wherein said arch compression zone comprises of a constriction that generally affects the section around the arch.

7. A method of promoting unrestricted blood flow throughout a users foot characterized in that a sock is worn on a foot that combines targeted heel and arch compression, and a five-finger section that has a compressing effect on each toe section.
