Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to a natural-based liquid composition for use with electronic vaporizing devices. The present disclosure is also directed to electronic vaporizing devices for using such composition. In one embodiment, the liquid compositions are water-based and are substantially free of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin. In a preferred embodiment, the compositions may be augmented to include additives such as medicines, wellness elements, supplements, recreational elements, and natural elements performing the role of emulsifiers. The present disclosure is also directed to electronic vaporizing devices for vaporizing a natural-based liquid composition. The electronic vaporizing device may include the functionality to create specified or custom mixtures of a vaporizable material for the vaporizing thereof.

Description

Claims (34)

What is claimed is:
1. A natural-based liquid composition for use in an electronic vaporizing device comprising:
about 70 weight percent to about 99 weight percent of water;
about 0.01 weight percent to about 20 weight percent of at least one natural emulsifier; and
about 1 weight percent to about 30 weight percent of at least one flavoring agent;
wherein the natural-based liquid composition is substantially free of at least one of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin.
2. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 1, wherein the at least one natural emulsifier is selected from the group of natural emulsifiers consisting of at least one of a sunflower, a lecithin, a natural starch, and combinations thereof.
3. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 2, wherein the at least one natural emulsifier is the lecithin.
4. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 3, wherein the lecithin is selected from the group of lecithins consisting of at least one of a plant-based lecithin, an animal-based lecithin, and combinations thereof.
5. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 4, wherein the lecithin is a plant-based lecithin that is selected from the group of plant-based lecithins consisting of at least one of a sunflower lecithin, a soybean lecithin, a rapeseed lecithin, a cottonseed lecithin, and combinations thereof.
6. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 4, wherein the lecithin is an animal-based lecithin that is selected from the group of animal lecithins consisting of at least one of an egg lecithin, a milk lecithin, a marine animal lecithin, and combinations thereof.
7. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 1, wherein the at least one natural emulsifier comprises about 0.1 weight percent to about 15 weight percent of the composition.
8. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 1, wherein the at least one flavoring agent is selected from the group of flavoring agents consisting of at least one of a fruit, a berry, a spice, an herb, a savory flavor, a spicy flavor, a sweet flavor, a plant-based flavor, and combinations thereof.
9. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 1, wherein the at least one flavoring agent comprises about 3 weight percent to about 25 weight percent of the composition.
10. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 1, further comprising about 0.01 weight percent to about 10 weight percent of at least one supplementary component selected from the group of supplementary components consisting of at least one of a medicinal agent, a wellness agent, a recreational use agent, and combinations thereof.
11. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 10, wherein the supplementary component is a medicinal agent that is selected from the group of medicinal agents consisting of at least one of a diabetes medication, a respiratory medication, a sexual dysfunction medication, a cannabis-based medication, and combinations thereof.
12. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 10, wherein the supplementary component is a wellness agent that is selected from the group wellness agents consisting of at least one of a chamomile, Echinacea, a homeopathic remedy, a vitamin supplement, and combinations thereof.
13. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 10, wherein the supplementary component is a recreational use agent that is selected from the group of recreational use agents consisting of at least one of caffeine, nicotine, a cannabis-based material, taurine, salvia, kratum, kava, and combinations thereof.
14. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 1, wherein the composition is substantially free of both propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin.
15. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 1, wherein the composition is configured for use in an electronic vaporizing device employing a cold vapor misting distribution component.
16. The natural-based liquid composition ofclaim 1, wherein the composition is substantially homogeneous.
17. A method for producing a natural-based liquid composition comprising the steps:
combining about 70 weight percent to about 99 weight percent of water with about 1 weight percent to about 30 weight percent of at least one flavoring agent to form a liquid solution;
adding about 0.01 weight percent to about 20 weight percent of at least one natural emulsifier to the liquid solution; and
mixing the liquid composition containing the at least one natural emulsifier to form a substantially homogeneous liquid composition.
18. The method ofclaim 17, wherein the at least one natural emulsifier is selected from the group of natural emulsifiers consisting of at least one of a sunflower, a lecithin, a natural starch, and combinations thereof.
19. The method ofclaim 17, wherein the at least one flavoring agent is selected from the group of flavoring agents consisting of at least one of a fruit, a berry, a spice, an herb, a savory flavor, a spicy flavor, a sweet flavor, a plant-based flavor, and combinations thereof.
20. The method ofclaim 17, further comprising the steps:
adding about 0.01 weight percent to about10 weight percent of at least one supplementary component to the liquid solution, wherein the at least one supplementary component is selected from the group of supplementary components consisting of at least one of a medicinal agent, a wellness agent, a recreational use agent, and combinations thereof.
21. An electronic vaporizing device comprising:
a device processor operable for controlling the electronic vaporizing device;
a plurality of containers, each container configured to store a vaporizable material;
a mixing component operatively coupled to the device processor and controlled in part by the device processor, wherein the mixing component is in fluid communication with the plurality of containers for receiving at least a portion of the vaporizable material therefrom, wherein the mixing component is operable to withdraw a selected amount of vaporizable material from at least one of the plurality of containers;
a vaporizing component operatively coupled to the device processor and controlled in part by the device processor, wherein the vaporizing component is in fluid communication with the mixing component for receiving at least a portion of the selected amount of vaporizable material withdrawn from the at least one container by the mixing component, wherein the vaporizing component is operable to vaporize the vaporizable material received therein;
at least one vapor outlet coupled to the vaporizing component and configured to receive vapor generated by the vaporizing component, the at least one vapor outlet operable to expel the generated vapor from the vaporizing device;
at least one power source operatively coupled to the mixing component and the vaporizing component, wherein the at least one power source is operable to generate a supply of power for operation of at least the mixing component, the vaporizing component, and combinations thereof.
22. The electronic vaporizing device ofclaim 21, wherein the device processor is operable to generate at least one mixing control signal for controlling at least one operational parameter of the mixing component.
23. The electronic vaporizing device ofclaim 21, wherein the device processor is operable to generate at least one mixing control signal for controlling an amount of vaporizable material to be withdrawn from at least one of the plurality of containers by the mixing component.
24. The electronic vaporizing device ofclaim 23, wherein at least one of the plurality of containers is configured to store a natural-based liquid composition.
25. The electronic vaporizing device ofclaim 21, wherein the device processor is operable to generate at least one mixing control signal for controlling an amount of vaporizable material to be withdrawn from a selected number of the plurality of containers by the mixing component.
26. The electronic vaporizing device ofclaim 21, wherein the device processor is operable to generate at least one mixing control signal for controlling an amount of material to be withdrawn from a selected number of the plurality of containers, wherein at least two of the selected number of the plurality of containers are configured to each store a discrete vaporizable material.
27. The electronic vaporizing device ofclaim 21, further comprising:
at least one input/output device operatively coupled to the device processor and configured to operatively connect the device processor to a remote device, wherein the at least one input/output device is configured to receive a plurality of remote control signals generated by the remote device for controlling at least one operational parameter of the electronic vaporizing device, and to transmit the plurality of received remote control signals to the device processor for controlling at least one operational parameter of the electronic vaporizing device.

The electronic vaporizing device ofclaim 27, wherein the at least one input/output device is configured to receive at least one remote control signal for controlling the selected amount of vaporizable material withdrawn from the at least one container by the mixing component and to transmit the at least one remote control signal to the device processor, wherein the device processor is further operable to generate at least one mixing control signal for controlling the selected amount of vaporizable material withdrawn from the at least one container by the mixing component based on the at least one received remote control signal.

A method for vaporizing at least one vaporizable material by an electronic vaporizing device, wherein the electronic vaporizing device comprises (a) a plurality of containers, wherein at least one of the plurality of containers contains a vaporizable material, (b) a mixing component operable to control a selected amount of vaporizable material to be withdrawn from the at least one container, (c) a vaporizing component operable to vaporize a plurality of materials received therein and expel a generated vapor from the vaporizing component, and (d) at least one power source operatively coupled to the mixing component and the vaporizing component, the method comprising the steps:
obtaining a plurality of mixing control parameters for controlling at least one operational parameter of the mixing component;
generating, by the mixing component, at least one mixing control signal in accordance with at least a portion of the plurality of mixing control parameters;
withdrawing, by the mixing component, the selected amount of vaporizable material from the at least one container in accordance with the at least one mixing control signal and delivering the selected amount of vaporizable material withdrawn therefrom to the vaporizing component; and
vaporizing at least a portion of the received vaporizable material by the vaporizing component to generate a vapor therefrom.
30. The method ofclaim 29, wherein the plurality of mixing control parameters includes at least one of: an identification of the at least one container from which the selected amount of vaporizable material is withdrawn, the selected amount of vaporizable material withdrawn from the at least one container, and combinations thereof.
31. The method ofclaim 32, wherein the plurality of mixing control parameters includes an identification of each of: a selected number of the plurality of containers from which the selected amount of vaporizable material is withdrawn and the selected amount of vaporizable material withdrawn from the selected number the plurality of containers.
32. The method ofclaim 29, further comprising the steps:
receiving at least a portion of the plurality of mixing control signals from an associated user via at least one input/output device.
33. The method ofclaim 29, further comprising the steps:
receiving at least a portion of the plurality of mixing control signals from a remote device via at least one input/output device.
34. The method ofclaim 29, wherein at least one of the plurality of containers contains a natural-based liquid composition.
