Abstract

A tempered glass has a compressive stress layer in a surface thereof, includes as a glass composition, in terms of mass %, 50 to 80% of SiO2, 10 to 30% of Al2O3, 0 to 6% of B2O3, 0 to 2% of Li2O, and 5 to 25% of Na2O, and is substantially free of As2O3, Sb2O3, PbO, and F.

Description

Claims (26)

23. A tempered glass sheet having a length dimension of 500 mm or more, a width dimension of 300 mm or more, and a thickness of from 0.3 to 2.0 mm, comprising as a glass composition, in terms of mass %, 50 to 80% of SiO2, 10 to 30% of Al2O3, 0 to 6% of B2O3, 0 to 2% of Li2O, 5 to 25% of Na2O, 10 to 30% of Li2O+Na2O+K2O, 0 to 2% of SrO, 0 to less than 0.50% of TiO2, 0 to 4% of ZrO2, 0.2 to 3% of SnO2, and 0 to 1% of P2O5, having a molar ratio (MgO+CaO+SrO+BaO)/(Al2O3+B2O3) of from 0 to 0.60, being substantially free of As2O3, Sb2O3, PbO, and F, having a compression stress value of a compression stress layer of 300 MPa or more and 1,200 MPa or less, a thickness of the compression stress layer of 10 μm or more and 60 μm or less, a liquidus temperature of 1,200° C. or less, a thermal expansion coefficient in a temperature range of from 25 to 380° C. of 100×10−7or less, a Young's modulus of 65 GPa or more, and a fictive temperature Tf of 500° C. or more, and being subjected to tempering treatment so as to have a dimensional change rate S between before and after tempering treatment of from −1,000 ppm to +1,000 ppm.
