Abstract

Matchmaking is performed by, when a plurality of information processing apparatuses execute a predetermined application together, setting a combination of the information processing apparatuses. When the combination of the information processing apparatuses to execute the application together is set in the matchmaking, it is determined on the basis of a predetermined condition whether or not a log of the execution of the application is to be acquired, and the application is executed together with any of the other information processing apparatuses with which each information processing apparatus has been combined. Then, if it has been determined that the log is to be acquired, a log of the execution of the application for which the determination has been made is sent to a predetermined apparatus.

Description

Claims (14)

What is claimed is:
1. A communication system including at least a server and a plurality of information processing apparatuses capable of communicating with the server,
the server comprising:
a matchmaking unit configured to, when the plurality of information processing apparatuses execute a predetermined application together, set a combination of the information processing apparatuses; and
a log acquisition determination unit configured to, when the matchmaking unit sets the combination of the information processing apparatuses to execute the application together, determine on the basis of a predetermined condition whether or not a log of the execution of the application is to be acquired,
each information processing apparatus comprising:
a processing execution unit configured to execute the application together with any of the other information processing apparatuses with which the information processing apparatus has been combined by the matchmaking unit; and
a log sending unit configured to, if the log acquisition determination unit has determined that the log is to be acquired, send to a predetermined apparatus a log of the execution of the application for which the determination has been made.
2. The communication system according toclaim 1, wherein
the log sending unit sends a log of the information processing apparatus having executed the application, together with a log of any of the other information processing apparatuses having executed the application together with the information processing apparatus.
3. The communication system according toclaim 2, comprising:
a log acquisition unit configured to acquire the logs sent by each log sending unit; and
a log analysis unit configured to analyze the logs acquired by the log acquisition unit, wherein
if logs of the application to be executed by a first information processing apparatus and a second information processing apparatus of the information processing apparatuses are to be acquired,
the log sending unit of the first information processing apparatus sends to the log acquisition unit a log of the first information processing apparatus having executed the application and a log of the second information processing apparatus having executed the application,
the log sending unit of the second information processing apparatus sends to the log acquisition unit a log of the second information processing apparatus having executed the application and a log of the first information processing apparatus having executed the application, and
the log analysis unit confirms at least a consistency between the log of the first information processing apparatus acquired from the log sending unit of the first information processing apparatus and the log of the first information processing apparatus acquired from the log sending unit of the second information processing apparatus.
4. The communication system according toclaim 1, wherein
when the execution of the application for which the determination has been made is started, the log sending unit further sends information indicating the start of the execution of the application.
5. The communication system according toclaim 1, wherein
the server further comprises an evaluation management unit configured to manage an evaluation regarding the execution of the application performed by each information processing apparatus having executed the application, wherein
on the basis of the evaluations of the information processing apparatuses combined to execute the application together, the log acquisition determination unit determines whether or not a log of the execution of the application is to be acquired.
6. The communication system according toclaim 5, wherein
each information processing apparatus further comprises a reporting unit configured to report to the server the evaluation regarding the execution of the application performed by each of the other information processing apparatuses, wherein
on the basis of the evaluation reported by the reporting unit, the evaluation management unit updates the evaluation of the other information processing apparatus regarding which the report has been made.
7. The communication system according toclaim 6, wherein
the reporting unit reports the evaluation of any of the other information processing apparatuses with which the information processing apparatus has been combined by the matchmaking unit.
8. The communication system according toclaim 7, wherein
after the application is executed, the reporting unit reports the evaluation regarding the execution of the application performed by any of the other information processing apparatuses with which the information processing apparatus has been combined by the matchmaking unit.
9. The communication system according toclaim 5, wherein
the matchmaking unit combines together any of the information processing apparatuses having satisfied a predetermined condition for the evaluation.
10. The communication system according toclaim 6, wherein
the evaluation management unit includes a report score calculation unit configured to, with respect to each of the reported evaluations, accumulate a report score of corresponding one of the information processing apparatuses for which the evaluation has been made,
the matchmaking unit combines together any of the information processing apparatuses of which the accumulated report scores are equal to or greater than a first predetermined value, or combines together any of the information processing apparatuses of which the accumulated report scores are less than the first predetermined value, and
if the report score of at least one of the information processing apparatuses with which the information processing apparatus has been combined to execute the application together is equal to or greater than a second predetermined value, the log acquisition determination unit determines on the basis of the predetermined condition whether or not a log of the execution of the application is to be acquired.

A computer-readable storage medium having stored therein a communication program to be executed by a computer contained in a communication system including at least a server and a plurality of information processing apparatuses capable of communicating with the server, the communication program causing the computer to execute:
performing matchmaking to, when the plurality of information processing apparatuses execute a predetermined application together, set a combination of the information processing apparatuses;
when the matchmaking unit sets the combination of the information processing apparatuses to execute the application together, determining on the basis of a predetermined condition whether or not a log of the execution of the application is to be acquired; and
if it has been determined that the log is to be acquired, sending a log of the execution of the application for which the determination has been made, from any of the information processing apparatuses having executed the application.
12. An information processing apparatus capable of communicating with at least a server, the information processing apparatus comprising:
a processing execution unit configured to, when a plurality of information processing apparatuses execute a predetermined application together, execute, on the basis of the combination with any of the other information processing apparatuses as instructed by the server, the application together with the other information processing apparatus; and
a log sending unit configured to, if, as a result of, when the combination is set, the server determining on the basis of a predetermined condition whether or not a log of the execution of the application is to be acquired, the server has determined that the log is to be acquired, send to a predetermined apparatus a log of the execution of the application for which the determination has been made.
13. A server capable of communicating with at least a plurality of information processing apparatuses, the server comprising:
a matchmaking unit configured to, when the plurality of information processing apparatuses execute a predetermined application together, set a combination of the information processing apparatuses;
a log acquisition determination unit configured to, when the matchmaking unit sets the combination of the information processing apparatuses to execute the application together, determine on the basis of a predetermined condition whether or not a log of the execution of the application is to be acquired; and
a log sending instruction unit configured to, if the log acquisition determination unit has determined that the log is to be acquired, send a log of the execution of the application for which the determination has been made, from the any of the information processing apparatuses having executed the application.

A communication method to be executed by a processor or a cooperation of a plurality of processors, the processor and the plurality of processors contained in a communication system including at least a server and a plurality of information processing apparatuses capable of communicating with the server, the communication method comprising:
performing matchmaking by, when the plurality of information processing apparatuses execute a predetermined application together, setting a combination of the information processing apparatuses;
when the combination of the information processing apparatuses to execute the application together is set in the matchmaking, determining on the basis of a predetermined condition whether or not a log of the execution of the application is to be acquired;
executing the application together with any of the other information processing apparatuses with which each information processing apparatus has been combined in the matchmaking; and
if it has been determined that the log is to be acquired, sending to a predetermined apparatus a log of the execution of the application for which the determination has been made.
