TECHNICAL FIELDThe present invention relates to a multifunctional chair which aims at training, rehabilitating and correcting a users back spine, pelvises and knee joints, and in particular to a multifunctional chair which is directed to preventing a waist injury which might occur due to a sharp slope angle when a user first sits by providing a function of freely adjusting a slope angle in forward, backward, leftward and rightward directions, and when a waist is not exercised, it is possible to prevent well the movements of a seat member, thus being used as an ordinary chair. The sitting seat is made to have a good cushion feeling by improving a rolling member provided beneath a seat, and the movement range of a slope of a seat is limited to a forward and backward direction and a leftward and rightward direction and multiple directions, respectively, whereas the rotation is prevented, thus limiting an over movement of a sitting seat in whole and preventing a side effect in terms of a sitting type exercise.
BACKGROUND ARTThere are various types of exercise tools which help do a proper exercise for each part of a human body and help rehabilitate a hurt or weakened portion of it. A multifunctional chair which is a similar one among multiple tools is disclosed in Korean patent application number 10-2005-40701.
As shown inFIG. 1, a back spine correction apparatus formed of a gas cylinder disposed at an upper side of a support having a moving member at its lower side, a rod inserted in an upward and downward movable way into the interior of the gas cylinder, and a lower member formed of a gas absorber inserted in a movable way in the interior and protruded from the upper side of the rod comprises ahousing24 in which an outward protrusion part22 is formed, with a vertical hole22a, into which the top of the rod16 is inserted, passing through the outward protrusion part22, and an inner side protrusion part23 with an insertion groove23ais integrally formed, and a gas absorber operation member30 is provided for the purpose of operating the gas absorber18; an ascending and descendingmovement device20 which is formed of ahousing casing27 fixedly engaged at the top of thehousing24; a rolling means B which is disposed between thehousing casing27 and the lower side of the seat member1 and has an unlocking member60 for selectively retaining the rolling and unrolling with respect to the seat member1; a rotation support plate82 which is rotatably fixed at either inner side of thehousing24 by way of a horizontal rotation shaft81 and which is protruded from the backside of thehousing24; a backrest frame83 which is fixedly engaged to the interior of the backside of the rotation support plate82 and is spun (tilted) and supported in the outward direction by way of a tilting support means C, and a backrest tilting device80 which is provided at a front side region of thehousing24 and has a tilting unlocking means D for unlocking the tilted state in an outward direction of the backrest frame83.
In addition, as shown inFIG. 2, the rolling means B comprises a rolling casing52 which is fixedly engaged at a lower, central region of the seat member1 and in which a cushion protrusion part50 having a bearing rolling groove50ais formed at a lower, central region, and a cushion protrusion51 with a cushion groove51ais integrally formed at an upper, central region; a rollingbearing54 which is elastically inserted in the bearing rolling groove50aand performs a rotation rolling movement at a proper angle and which is fixed at an outer surface of a through hole27aof an upper side of thehousing casing27; a fixing bolt55 which passes through the through hole27aof thehousing casing27 and the inner diameter of the rollingbearing54, a fixing nut56 which is fixedly engaged to the fixing bolt55 for thereby fixing the fixing bolt55 to thehousing casing27, acushion member57 which is pressed and fixed at an upper, outer side of the fixing bolt55 and is inserted to protrude from the inner side of the cushion groove51aof the cushion protrusion51 to the outside and is made from an urethane material; and a unlocking member60 which is closely disposed between the upper side of thehousing casing27 and the rolling protrusion part50 for thereby selectively retaining the rolling and unrolling states of the seat member1.
However, in the above described conventional multifunctional chair, the rolling mean B is characterized in that the slope angle of the rolling in terms of the seat member1 is determined by means of acushion member57 made from a urethane material, when the elasticity of thecushion member57 is weakened or it is damaged, the shape of the seat member1 is deformed in one direction or the slope angles of the forward, backward, leftward and rightward directions become inaccurate, so the injuries of the users such as weak persons might be worsened. Since there is not a means for fixing the seat member1 in place, not to move, in the conventional art, it is needed for a user to sit after he adjusts the seat member1 to a normal position, thus causing, any inconveniences.
Since there is not a means for adjusting a slope angle of the seat member1 in a conventional art, when an old or weak person or a user who suffers from a weak waist sits carelessly, since the slope angle that the seat member1 inclines at is too large, a user might have a waist injury.
The conventional multifunctional chair comprise a moving means which is movable being supported on the ground, a gas absorber which is upright installed at the moving means for thereby adjusting the height of the seat, a fixing bracket which is installed at the top of the gas absorber and has a height adjusting part with a three-stage fixing shoulder at its outer surface and integrally has a vertical rod at its center, the vertical rod having an engaging hole at its top, a seat support member which has a connection boss part having at its center an installation hole guiding a vertical rod provided at the center of the fixing bracket, the upper side of the seat support member being connected with the lower side of the sitting seat, a rolling adjusting lever which passes through the rolling member disposed between the seat support member and the fixing bracket and integrally has a slope angle adjusting shoulder at the inner diameter for thereby being selectively engaged with the three-stage fixing shoulder of the height adjusting part for thereby adjusting in multiple stages the height of the seat support member with respect to the rolling member, and a spherical bearing and a spherical bussing which are engaged at the end portions of the engaging bolt and the vertical rod engaged to the vertical rod of the fixing bracket from the upper side of the seat support member for thereby inducing the movements of the central portions of the seat support member.
However, in the above described conventional multifunctional chair, the rolling of the sitting seat contributes to adjusting step by step the rolling slope by adjusting the height of the seat support member by way of the rolling adjusting lever by adapting the vertical rod of the fixing bracket as an axis; however the rolling operation has a problem that it spins out of the movement ranges in the forward, backward, leftward and rightward directions of the sitting seat, so the over movements of the seat might cause side effects in terms of the sitting type exercise.
It is disadvantageous that the cushion feeling of the sitting seat is generally worsened in whole in the range of limiting the rolling operations, which results in the degradation of the chair which actually has both chair function and exercise function.

In the multifunctional chair which includes a support member100 having a movingmeans110 at its lower side; an ascending and descendingmember200 which is upwardly installed from the center of the support member100 and serves to adjust the height with the aid of an operation rod220 in the interior of a gas cylinder210; a rollingmember300 which is installed at the top of the ascending and descendingmember200 and is installed in a rolling possible way in a forward, backward, leftward or rightward direction, and aseat member400 which is installed at the top of therolling member300 and allows a user to sit in safe,
the fixing bracket500 installed at the top of the operation rod220 of the ascending and descendingmember200, as shown inFIGS. 3 and 4, is characterized in that an arm rest fixing part510 at either side of which anarm rest410 of aseat member400 is stably fixed is provided, and at a central, upper portion of the fixing bracket500 is provided a vertical rod520 with a certain height, and at the top of the vertical rod520 is provided an insertion part530, and a connection hole540 passes through the central axis line of the insertion part530.
At the central, lower side of the fixing bracket500 is formed an operation space part550 into which the top of the operation rod220 of the ascending and descendingmember200 is inserted, and at one side of the operation space part550 is formed an installation hole551, and in the installation hole551 is engaged an operation cap553 with a two-stage operation hole552, and at the two-stage operation hole552 of the operation cap553 is installed the operation lever554 with a certain length with the aid of the engaging pin555. Here, one end of the operation lever554 inserted into the inner side of the two-stage operation hole552 corresponds to the gas absorber221 of the operation rod220.
In other words, when the operation lever554 is pushed in a lateral direction and is moved to the two-stage operation hole552 positioned at the lateral side of the two-stage operation hole552, the end portion of the operation lever554 is separated from the gas absorber221, so the operation rod220 ascends, and the operation lever554 in pushed in the two-stage operation hole552 which remained in the original position, so the end portion of the operation lever554 comes into contact with the gas absorber221, whereby the operation rod220 is fixed in place.
At the top of the fixing bracket500 is installed a rolling adjusting part600 adjusting the tilting of theseat member400. A cylindrical adjusting part610 is integrally formed around the rolling adjusting part600 at a certain distance from the vertical rod520 of the fixing bracket500, and at an outer surface of the adjusting part610 is installed at a certain inclined angle the fixing shoulder620 connected, for example, in a three-stage structure.

Arolling member300 is installed between the adjusting part610 of the fixing bracket500 and the protrusion part411 of theseat plate410, and aspring310, which is shaped like a double-headed drum with a narrow waste at its middle, is installed at an outer surface of the vertical rod520 between the fixing shoulder620 and theseat plate410 for thereby maintaining a horizontal state and a rolling operation of theseat member400, and at the bearing hole412 of theseat plate410 is installed a spherical plane320 which is a kind of the bearing. The engaging bolt330 is forced to pass through the ball bearing321 and is engaged with anut340 in the operation space part550 of the lower side of the vertical rod520, so theseparated seat member400 and fixing bracket500 come to be engaged with each other.
At this time, thespring310 is elastically installed, and the lower end portion of thespring310 is engaged to the fixing groove640 formed at one side of the adjusting part610 with the fixing shoulder620. The upper end portion of thespring310 is engaged to the fixing groove (not shown) formed at one side of the fixing shoulder620 of the lower side of theseat plate410, so as such theseat member400 of the upper side of theseat plate410 does not move in a left or right direction, in other words, always stays in place.
A wrinkle tube700 made from a rubber material is installed between the upper side of the height adjusting part630 and the protrusion part411 of the lower side of the seat plate420 for thereby making easier the descending of the height adjusting part630 with the aid of the elasticity of the wrinkle tube700 and for thereby covering the upper side of the height adjusting part630 and the protrusion part411 of the lower side of theseat plate410 not to be seen from the outside.
As show inFIGS. 8 to 15, the multifunctional chair according to an embodiment of the present invention corresponds to a multifunctional chair with a sitting type exercise function.
A multifunctional chair which includes a movingmeans110 supporting from a lower surface for movements, an ascending and descendingmember120 which is upright installed at the movingmeans110 and serves to adjust the height of the sitting seat, afixing bracket130 which is installed at the top of the ascending and descendingember120 and has at its outer surface aheight adjusting part132 with a three-stage fixing shoulder131 and integrally has at its central upper portion avertical rod133 with a connection hole133a, aseat plate140 which has a connection boss part141 having at its central portion aninstallation hole141aguiding thevertical rod133 provided at the center of thefixing bracket130, with the upper side of theseat plate140 being connected with the lower side of the sitting seat, a rolling adjusting means160 which passes through the rolling member150 installed between theseat plate140 and thefixing bracket130 and integrally has aslope adjusting shoulder162 at its inner diameter for being selectively engaged from the three-stage fixing shoulder131 of theheight adjusting part132 for thereby adjusting in multiple steps the height of theseat plate140 with respect to the rolling member150, and a spherical plane320 and a spherical ball bearing321 which are engaged at theengaging bolt170 engaged to thevertical rod133 of thefixing bracket130 from the upper side of theseat plate140 and at the end portion of thevertical rod133 for thereby guiding the movements at the central portions of theseat plate140, comprising:
hexagonal engaging grooves140aand130awhich are provided correspondingly at the inner diameter of theheight adjusting part132 of thefixing bracket130 corresponding to the connection boss part141 of theseat plate140 engaging the rolling member150, and said rolling member150 is characterized in that a hexagonalengaging part152 is formed at the upper and lower portions in a hollow shape to accommodate therein the vertical rod, and aspiral body154 is formed between the hexagonalengaging part152, and a compression spring156 is provided at the inner side of thebody154 for preventing the twisting of the rolling member150 together with the cushion function of the sitting seat.
Thebody154 of the rolling member150 is made from a rubber material of a urethane.
MODES FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTIONThe operations and effects of the multifunctional chair according to the present invention will be described.
First of all, the height adjusting part630 of the rolling adjusting part600 is engaged to the adjusting part610 of the upper side of the fixing bracket500. Here, as thestopper631 of the height adjusting part630 is engaged to the fixing shoulder620 of the outer surface of the adjusting part610 and the lever632 of one side of the height adjusting part630 is tilted, as shown inFIGS. 5 and 6, the upper side of the height adjusting part630 comes into contact with the circular protrusion part411 provided beneath theseat plate410 or comes distanced from it for thereby preventing the rolling of theseat member400 or coming to sequentially adjusting the rolling angles of it.
Next, thespring310 is engaged to the spring insertion hole633 of the height adjusting part630 and is mounted at the vertical rod520, and the engaging bolt330 is forced to pass through the ball bearing321 of the spherical plane320 engaged with theseat plate410 and is engaged with anut340 in the interior of the operation space part550 of the lower side of the vertical rod520, so the separatedseat member400 and fixing bracket500 are engaged with each other.
At this time, the lower end portion of thespring310 is engaged to the fixing groove640 formed at one side of the adjusting part610 with a fixing shoulder620. The upper end portion of thespring310 is engaged to the fixing groove (not shown) formed at one side of the fixing shoulder620 of the lower side of theseat plate410, so theseat member400 of the upper side of theseat plate410 does not move in a leftward or rightward direction, namely, it always stays in normal place.
The operation lever554 is fixed, in an operation possible way with the engaging pin555, at the installation hole551 connected with the lateral side of the operation space part550 of the lower side of the fixing bracket500, and one end of the operation lever554 inserted into the inner side of the two-stage operation hole552 is matched with the gas absorber221 of the operation rod220.
When it is supposed to perform a waste exercise after the multifunctional chair is assembled in the above mentioned manner, a user sits at theseat member400. At this time, theseat member400 keeps a horizontal state by means of the elastic force of thespring310; however it is connected in a rolling possible way by means of only the ball bearing321 of the spherical plane320, so a user who for the first time uses a multifunctional chair might feel a little unstable, so it is preferred to reduce a little the rolling angle of theseat member400 for thereby preventing injuries which might occur due to the sharply changing rolling angle.
In other words, as shown in (b) ofFIG. 6, the multifunctional chair at the first stage has astopper631 at the fixing shoulder620 of the lower most portion. At this time, as shown in (a) ofFIG. 5, since the interval between the height adjusting part630 and the protrusion part411 of theseat plate410 is too large, the tilting angle of theseat member400 in the forward, backward, leftward or rightward is about 20°, too large angle.
As for the user who uses for the first time or the weak or old user, it is needed to tilt the lever632 of the rolling adjusting part600 in one direction. As shown in (c) ofFIG. 6, thestopper631 travels over the fixing shoulder620 positioned at the intermediate portion, so the interval between the height adjusting part630 and the protrusion part411 is narrowed, and the tilting angle of theseat member400 in the forward, backward, leftward or rightward direction becomes above 10°, so as such the user is prevented from injured.
In addition, when it is supposed to use the multifunctional chair as an ordinary chair, it is needed to move thestopper631 up to the fixing shoulder620 of the upper most portion. At this time, as shown in (b) ofFIG. 5, the adjusting part630 and the protrusion part411 become closer to each other, so the rolling phenomenon of the chair does not take place.
When the lever632 of the rolling adjusting part600 is tilted in the direction which is opposite the above-mentioned direction, as shown in (a) ofFIG. 6, thestopper631 descends to the fixing shoulder620 positioned at the lower most portion, thus increasing the interval between the adjusting part630 and the protrusion part411. At this time, the user does exercise moving his waste in the forward, backward, leftward or rightward direction. Since the wrinkle tube700 made from a rubber material is installed between the upper side of the height adjusting part630 and the protrusion part411 of the lower side of theseat plate410, the height adjusting part630 can very easily descend with the aid of elastic force of the wrinkle tube700, and as such it is possible to cover the upper side of the height adjusting part630 and the protrusion part411 of the lower side of theseat plate410 not to be seen from the outside.
When it is needed to conduct the ascending and descending exercise with the multifunctional chair, the adjusting part630 and the protrusion part411 are forced to be close in order for the rolling phenomenon of theseat member400 not to take place, and the operation lever554 is pushed in the lateral direction and is moved to the two-stage operation hole552 positioned at the lateral portion of the two-stage operation hole552. At this time, the end portion of the operation lever554 is separated from the gas absorber221, so the operation rod220 comes to ascend freely. In other words, when a user gets up from theseat member400, since the operation rod220 ascends since the operation rod220 descends when the user sits in theseat member400, so as such it is possible for a user to perform a certain exercise.
In the present invention, the multifunctional chair having a function of preventing the rotation during the sitting type exercise is characterized in that the three-stage fixing shoulder131 formed in theheight adjusting part132 of the fixingbracket130 is formed in a circumference. When the above-mentioned construction is exploded and viewed, as shown inFIG. 15, it is seen like a staircase shape in which one side is inclined, with the advantageous construction of which thestopper162 formed at the inner diameters of therolling adjusting part160 can best move and be fixedly positioned at the lower most portion and the upper most portion.
From the upper side of therolling adjusting part160, in which the fixingbracket130 is installed, is a little protruded a rubber ring member163, which is made from a urethane material at the upper side of therolling adjusting part160, more than the upper surface of therolling adjusting part160. The rubber ring member163 comes into close contact with the lower surface of the connection boss part141 of theseat plate140 for thereby elastically supporting during the rolling of the sitting seat or at the time when fixing.
Thestopper162 is divided into three parts in a spiral shape, one side of which is inclined for thestopper162 to easily move from the three-stage fixing shoulder131. As such thestopper162 can move from the three-stage fixing shoulder131 of theheight adjusting part132 by rotating therolling adjusting part160 while holding one side of therolling adjusting part160. Here, theseat plate140 has a certain interval, as much as the distance that thestopper162 moves, from the upper surface of the rubber ring member163 at the side of therolling adjusting part160 along with the sitting seat with respect to the rolling member150 which is assembled as the hexagonalengaging part152 of the upper and lower sides is engaged between theseat plate140 from the fixingbracket130.
As shown inFIG. 13, the above mentioned interval is created owing to the differences in heights, so the user can do exercise while sitting in the sitting seat as the user moves the sitting eat in the forward, backward, leftward or rightward direction.
The above mentioned sitting type exercise contributes to exercising or training the back spine including pelvises and knee joints of the body in a sitting posture or contributes to the rehabilitation in relation with the posture corrections.
The motions of the sitting seat are related to the slope, in other words, the rolling movements. Since the hexagonalengaging part152 of the rolling member150 is assembled to the hexagonal engaging grooves130aand140aformed at the inner diameters of the fixingbracket130 and the connection boss part141 of theseat plate140, the twisting motions of the sitting seat can be prevented, which leads to preventing the unnecessary movements of the sitting seat.
The twisting prevention of the sitting seat in the multifunctional chair contributes to previously prevent the sitting seat and user's waist from abruptly rotating while the user exercises pelvises in a sitting posture, thus preventing the side effects of the exercise which might bring injuries.
In case ofFIG. 14, the lower surface of theseat plate140 comes into close contact with the rubber ring member163 of the upper surface of therolling adjusting part160 by positioning thestopper162 at the upper most portion of the fixing shoulder131 of theheight adjusting part132 by rotating therolling adjusting part160, in other words, the operation state of which contributes to preventing the rolling of theseat plate140. Here, the rubber ring member163 provides a good close-contact performance and a good cushion feeling with the aid of the nature of the materials.
