FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a stand structure for mounting and positioning a computer host, and more particularly to an improved stand structure for holding a compact computer host or the like.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION With the progress of technology, almost every person owns more than one computer. In the early days, several pads are stuck on the bottom of the computer host for the purpose of mounting the computer host, which is a most important and largest-sized component of the computer system. Besides, the computer host is typically flat and occupies more than half of the table surface so it is not easy to shift the computer host.
The computer host such as compact computer nowadays is developed to be light, thin, short, and tiny by the computer manufacturers' research and development such that the computer host can be vertically mounted beside the monitor to occupy a smaller space. However, the impact easily topples down the vertical-type computer host, causing damage and crash to the hardware inside the computer host. As a result, the computer manufacturers currently provide the computer host with a fixing stand structure for securely holding the computer host on the table surface.
However, the conventional stand structure (not shown) is designed for vertically holding the computer host. This conventional stand structure has a base, wherein extendable devices are mounted on the base and blocks are mounted on the extendable devices. As a result, the extendable devices can be positioned in the positioning recesses, which are formed on the outside of the base, by a set of positioning protruding parts. Besides, when these blocks are located vertically, the computer host can be firmly positioned between two opposite blocks. In addition to the vertical type, the computer host may be a horizontal type or hanging type computer host. As a result, the conventional stand structure is not suitable for the horizontal type or hanging type computer host so the above-mentioned defects must be overcame by other methods.
In view of the foregoing defects, the present inventor makes diligent studies in providing consumers with a multi-function stand structure according to the motive of the present invention.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is a main object of the present invention to provide an improved stand structure consisting of two detachable plates for holding the computer host, thereby providing convenient usage for increasing convenience and practicability.
It is another object of the present invention to provide an improved stand structure that can be coupled with a computer case for attaching the computer host on the wall or the backside of the LCD monitor to prevent spatial restraint and influence.
The aforementioned objects and advantages of the present invention will be readily clarified in the description of the preferred embodiments and the enclosed drawings of the present invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Referring toFIG. 1,FIG. 2, orFIG. 3, an improved stand structure of the present invention comprises an I-shaped base1 consisting of twodetachable plates2, wherein eachplate2 has twoprotruding parts21 mounted on top and bottom ends, respectively, a sunken region formed between theprotruding parts21, and arib22 formed on one side of an abutting surface of theplate2. As a result, apositioning trench23 is formed between theribs22 for positioning a computer host, whereinseveral holes24 havingnuts25 embedded therein are formed on the inner surfaces of theribs22 such thatseveral screws32 can be screwed into thenuts25, respectively. Two stair-shaped regions26 are formed on opposite inner surfaces of theplates2, respectively. In addition, twocoupling blocks27 having theholes24 formed thereon are mounted on the stair-shaped region26 of oneplate2, wherein atrench28 is formed on one side of onecoupling block27, a protrudingblock29 is formed on one side of theother coupling block27, and aconcave region30 is formed adjacent to eachcoupling block27. Besides, another twocoupling blocks27 having theholes24 formed thereon are mounted on the stair-shaped region26 of theother plate2, wherein a protrudingblock29 is formed on one side of onecoupling block27, atrench28 is formed on one side of theother coupling block27, and aconcave region30 is formed adjacent to eachcoupling block27. As a result, these twoplates2 can be coupled with one another by means of the protrudingblocks29 and thetrenches28. In other words, for the purpose of screwing these twoplates2 together, theholes24 of thecoupling blocks27 are aligned with theholes24 of theplates2. Besides, screw holes31 are formed on both ends of theplates2 and spaced in compliance with VESA standard. In addition, for the purpose of fixing,screws32 may be screwed into thescrew holes31.
The improved stand structure is constituted by the above-mentioned structure. Referring toFIG. 1,FIG. 2, orFIG. 3, the present invention is characterized by thebase1, which is composed of two plates, wherein the stair-shaped regions are formed on the opposite inner surfaces of the plates. In addition, the ribs are formed on the plates, respectively, so as to form a positioning trench, wherein several holes are formed on the inner surfaces of the ribs. Besides, screw holes are formed on both ends of the plates for positioning the computer host or being coupled with a computer case such that the computer host can be attached to the wall or the backside of the LCD monitor to prevent spatial restraint and influence, thereby providing convenient usage for increasing convenience and practicability.
Referring toFIG. 4 andFIG. 5, these twoplates2 are assembled together or separated from one another in accordance with different applied embodiments of the present invention. When these twoplates2 are assembled together, thebase1 is designed for holding thecomputer host4 in a vertical manner such that thecomputer host4 can be vertically mounted in thepositioning trench23, which is formed between theribs22, and securely held by theribs22 to avoid wobble and overturn. When these twoplates2 are separated from one another, thecomputer host4 can be reclined thereon and inserted in thepositioning trench23, which is formed between theribs22, and securely held by theribs22. As a result, it is not easy to obstruct heat-dissipatingholes42, which are formed on thecomputer case41, or cause the computer to crash since thecomputer case41 is not reclined on the table surface directly.
Referring toFIG. 6,FIG. 7, orFIG. 8, thescrew holes31 are formed on four corners of thebase1 in accordance with another applied embodiment of the present invention, wherein thesescrew holes31 are spaced in compliance with 100 mm by 100 mm or 75 mm by 75 mm VESA standard. In addition, thescrews32 are screwed onto the wall or the backside of theLCD monitor5 via thescrew holes31. In addition, because thesescrews holes31 are spaced at 100 mm by 100 mm or 75 mm by 75 mm, another fourscrews32 may be screwed into theholes24, which are formed on the inner surfaces of theribs22 of theplates2, wherein an embedded depth of thenuts24 is smaller than a length of thescrews32 such that thesescrews32 are protrudent from theplates2 to form hooks. Besides, several openings43 are formed on thecomputer case41, wherein each of theopenings43 has a narrow top and a wide bottom for insertion of thescrews32. As a result, thebase1 is attached to the backside of thecomputer host4 and screwed onto the wall or the backside of theLCD monitor5 to prevent spatial restraint and influence, thereby providing convenient usage for increasing convenience and practicability.
In summary, the computer host can be mounted and positioned on the improved stand structure of the present invention. Accordingly, the present invention satisfies patentability and is therefore submitted for a patent.
