Abstract

Abotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical formulation free of animal derived proteins, comprising abotulinumtoxin and a recombinant albumin, suitable for therapeutic administration to a human patient, and methods for treating patients with various diseases and afflictions with the formulation.

Description

Claims (10)

27. Abotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition with an enhanced potency with regard to a referencebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition, wherein:
(a) thebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition comprises:
(i) abotulinumtoxin,
(ii) a recombinant albumin, and
(iii) sodium chloride
(b) the referencebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition comprises:
(i) abotulinumtoxin,
(ii) a serum albumin, and
(iii) sodium chloride, and wherein;
(c) thebotulinumtoxin present in thebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition and thebotulinumtoxin present in the referencebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition are the same types ofbotulinumtoxin;
(d) the amount of thebotulinumtoxin present in thebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition and the amount ofbotulinumtoxin present in the referencebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition are the same;
(e) the amount of the albumin toxin present in thebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition and the amount of albumin present in the referencebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition are the same;
(f) thebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition and the referencebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition both contain are same amount of the sodium chloride, and;
(g) thebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition has a potency which is from at least 5% and up to 40% greater than the potency of the referencebotulinumtoxin pharmaceutical composition.
