A folding davenport or bed comprising, end supports, a top section, a bottom section, levers pivoted on each support and connected with said top section adapted to move the latter to positions beside and above said bottom section, pivots connecting said bottom section with a pair of said levers, struts between said bottom section and said support, said struts having slidable connections to said supports and said bottom section, and operating connections from said struts to the other pair of said levers.
5. A folding davenport or bed comprising, end supports, a top section, a bottom section,
^ levers pivoted on each support and connected with said top section adapted to move the latter to positions beside and above said bottom section, arms extendingr rearwardly from the forward of said levers, pivots connecting said bottom section at its front with said arms, movable struts connecting the rear of said bottom section with said supports, and links operatively connecting said struts with the rear of said levers.

A folding davenport' or bed comprising, end'supports, a top section, a bottom section, levers pivoted on each support and connected with said top section adapted to move the latter to positionsbeside and above said bottom section, arms extending rearwardly from the forward of said levers, pivots connecting said bottom section at its front with said arms, struts between said bottom section and said supports and operatively connected with the rear of said levers, and slidable connections between said strutsand said supports.
7 A folding davenport or bed comprising, end supports, a top section, a bottom section, levers pivoted on each support and connected with said top section adapted to move the latter to positions beside and above said bottom Y section, and feet connected t0 and movable with said levers so as to engage and support said bottom section, and bearings on the forward of said levers adapted for yengagement by the rearward of said levers when said top sect-ion is beside said bottom section.

A folding davenport bed, comprising, end supports, atop section, a bottom section, forward and rear levers pivoted on each support and connected with said" top section adapted to move the latter to positions beside and above said bottom section, means for moving said bottom section vertically including pivots connecting the front of said bottom section with arms extendinglaterally from the forward 0f said levers, a strut having means by which it is pivotally connected to the rear of said bottom section and to said support, one of said connecting means being also slidable, and means operatively connecting said strut with the rear one of said levers. 1
