F or the purpose of preventing accidental swinging of the weightedmember 26 to a position which might release the doors, I provide 'flat arms 28 fixed to the undersides of the doors l8 and 19 and which arms extend inwardly and down- Wardly toward each other. The opposite sides of the weightedmember 26 are provided with recesses ornotches 29 for accommodating the free ends of thearms 28. These arms act as stops for limiting swinging movement of themember 26 when the door is in a closed position.

From the foregoing description it will be understood that the holder when empty is always accessible by the milkman for depositing a bottle of milk therein, but the presence of the bottle of milk within the casing serves to lock theentrance doors 18 and 19 against tampering by unauthorized persons. Thebottle 17 may be readily removed by the authorized person having thenecessary key 13 to unlock thedoor 12. Although no means has been shown for securing the holder to a support, it will be appreciated that any well known type of supporting bracket may be used for such purpose.

While I have described what I deem to be the most desirable embodiment of my invention, it is obvious that many of the details may be varied without in any way departing from the spirit of my invention, and I therefore do not limit myself to the exact details of construction herein set forth nor to anything less than the whole of my invention limited only by the appended claims.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:

1. A milk bottle holder comprising a box like casing having an opening in the top wall thereof, a pair of hinged doors, spring means for holding said doors in a closed position over said opening, and means carried by one of said doors for seating upon a milk bottle dropped into said casing for locking the same again st movement to an open position.

2. A milk bottle holder comprising a box like casing having an opening in the top wall thereof, a pair of hinged doors, spring means for holding said doors in a closed position over said opening, and means carried by one of said doors for seating upon a milk bottle dropped into said casing for locking the same against movement to an open position, said means including a weighted member pivoted to said door.

3. A milk bottle holder comprising a box like casing having an opening in the top Wall thereof, a pair of hinged doors, spring means for holding said doors in a closed position over said opening, and means carried by one of said doors for seating upon a milk bottle dropped into said casing for locking the same against movement to an open position, said means including a weighted member pivoted to said door, and means for preventing swingin movement of said weighted member when in seated position upon a milk bottle.

A milk bottle holder comprising a box like casing having an opening in the top thereof, a key controlled door for access to the interior of said casing, a pair of hinged doors mounted on said casing for inward swinging movement, springs tending to normally hold the respective doors in their respective closed position beneath said opening, the springs acting upon one door being of a stronger tension than the spring acting upon the other door for closing one door aster than the other, a member pivoted to the weaker spring actuated door for overlying the top of a milk bottle when dropped into said casing through said opening and past said door.

5. A milk bottle holder comprising a box like casing having an opening in the top thereof, a key controlled door tor access to the interior of said casing, a pair of hinged doors mounted on said casing for inward swinging movement, springs tending to nor mally hold the respective doors in their respective closed position beneath said opening, the spring acting upon one door being of a stronger tension than the spring acting upon the other door for closing one door faster than the other, a member pivoted to the weaker spring actuated door for overlying the top of a milk bottle when dropped into said casing through said opening and past said door, and means carried by said doors for limiting movement of said member in opposite direction.

6. A milk bottle holder comprising a box like casing having an opening in the top thereof, a key controlled door for access to the interior of said casing, a pair of hinged doors mounted on said casing for inward swinging movement, springs tending to normally hold the respective doors in their respective closed position beneath said opening, the spring acting upon one door being of a stronger tension than the spring acting upon the other door for closing one door faster than the other, a member pivoted to the weaker spring actuated door for overlying the top of a milk bottle when dropped into said casing through said opening and past said door, and a cushion on the bottom of said casing for arresting the shock of a bottle dropped therein.

7. A milk bottle holder comprising a box like casing having an opening in the top thereof, a pair of hin ed doors mounted on said casing for inward swinging movement, springs tending to normally hold said doors in a closed position under said opening, the spring acting upon one door; being of a stronger tension than the spring acting upon the other door for closing one door faster than the other, a weighted member pivoted to the weaker spring actuated door and provided with seats on the under side thereof for seating upon the top of a milk bottle when dropped into said casing through said opening and past said door. v 8.
