This invention relatesto colon irrigation apparatus, for use in colonic therapy and has tor its principal'object the provision of a simple and eicientunit, in which adjustable 5 leg andtoot supports, irrigation apparatus,
and suitable water supply and drainage facilities will be convenientlycombined.
Another object of the invention is to so construct the apparatus that the flow of the solution to the patient and the discharging fluids will be constantly in view of the operator.
Still another object is to provide convenient means for regulating the pressure, temperature and content of the treatment solution. l
A further object is to provide a sanitary method of disposing of all-waste and discharged solution. A f
A still further object' is to provide means for supporting a suitablecover or curtain so that the patient will be entirely concealed from view during the operation. Y
Other objects and advantages reside in the detail construction of the invention, which is designed for simplicity, economy, and eiiiciency. These will lbecome more apparent from the following description.

The invention comprisesva drainage tank 10, supported from the floor on suitable legs 11 and provided with a Vdrain pipe 55. The apparatus is placed adjacent an operating -table such as indicated in brokenline at 53 which should substantially align with the front edge ofthetank 10. Extending above thetank 10, Vis arear splash hood 12 and aside splash plate 13. Within thesplash hood 12 two vertical, tubular supports 14 and 15 are secured, separated by across bar 16. A toot rest extendsv between verticallyslidable littings 17 on the tubular supports 14 and 15. Theiittings 17 Vcan be locked in any desired vertical position by means of setscrews 18, so that the height of thefoot rest 16 can be varied as desired. f p

.v For the use of children an auxiliary foot rest frame 19 is provided. The auxiliary foot rest frame is carried from a pair of horizontal supporting bars 2O which slide withinfittings 21 on the vertical standards 14 and 55 15. Thefittings 21 are provided with clamp screws 22 byv means of which thebars 20 can be locked in any desired horizontal position.
A foot rest 23 extends between the side bar of the frame 19 and can be locked in any de- 6o sired vertical position by means of setscrews 24.
The support 15 terminates above thesplash hood 12 in' aterminal nut 25 which holds a curtain hook 26 in place. The support 14 is 65 provided with alsimilar curtain hook 27 and terminates above thesplash hood 12 in a clamping T `28, provided with asuitable clamp screw 29. A hooked standard 30 slides withinthej T 28 and into the support 14. 70 The standard 30 can be secured at any desired height by means of the-clamp screw 29.
The standard 30 supports apercolator 31 by means of abale 34. Thepercolator 31 is closed by a' cap 33 provided with ahinged vdoor 32, through which medicines and chemicals may be introduced into the percolator. Asuitable thermometer 35 can be carried by thecap 33 to indicate the temperature of the solution in the percolator.
W'ater is fed to the percolator 3l through asupply tube 36 from asuitable mixing valve 37. Themixing valve 37 is fed from hot andcold water pipes 38 which extend into thetank 10 and terminate in any of the usual .faucets on the interior thereof to provide convenient means for flushing the tank.
A shelf 39 is hinged at 40 on a supportingbracket 41 extending from the side of thetank 10. The shelf 39 carries a clamp 42 which holds a glass Y-shaped connection tube 43 in place thereon.
The treatment solution is Jfed fromthepercolator 31 through afeed tube 44, which extends to acompression bulb 45 thence to one of the legs of the Y-shaped tube. A suitable shut-oit 46 is provided to control the flow through thetube 44. Adischarge tube 47 extends Jfrom the other leg of the Y-shaped tube 43 and discharges into thetank 10, con- 100 ftientscfeet as desired. l

Atl the side of thesplash hood 12, brackets are secured for attaching apan rod 51 to support any desiredpan 52 for the reception of instruments, lbottles, etc., whichare desired within reach .of :the operator.
In use, the shut-ott' 46 is first closed. The desired amount of water is fed into .the percolator 81 through the supply kktube '36, the temperature of the water being-controlled by themixing valve 37 and thethermometer 35. Colon irrigation apparatus comprising: an open topped tank; a standard extending above said tank; a container carried by said standard; a conduit for supplying fluid to said container; a second conduit for discharging fluid from said container; a shelf supported from said tank; a transparent Y-tube carried by said shelf and connecting with said conduit; a third conduit from said Y- tube and adapted to discharge in said tank; a colon tube extending from the third arm of said Y-tube; and a hinge for said shelf so as to allow it to be swung to a vertical position.
6. Colon irrigation apparatus comprising: an open topped tank; a splash hood extend- .ing upwardly fromsaid tank; standards vertically arranged within said splash hood; a foot rest supported between said standards and arranged for vertical adjustment thereon; a rod extending from within one of said standards and terminating above said tank; means for locking said rod at any desired vertical height; a container supported by said rod; means for supplying fluid to said container; a colon tube; and means for discharging fluid from said container either into said colon tube or into said tank as desired.
7. Colon irrigation apparatus comprising: an open topped tank; means for supplying water to said tank; means for discharging water from said tank; a'splash hood extending rearwardly and upwardly from the back of said back; vertical standards secured to and extending between the top and bottom of said splash hood; slidable fittings carried by said standards; locking screws arranged to secure said fittings at any desired height upon said standards; a foot rest bar extending between said fittings; and fixed fittings carried by said standard; horizontal bars slidable within said fixed fittings; means for locking said horizontal bars in said fixed fittings; and an auxiliary foot rest frame carried by said horizontal bars; uprights in said auxiliary foot rest frame; fittings vertically slidable upon said uprights; and a second foot rest bar extending between said second ttings.
8. Colon irrigation apparatus comprising: an open topped tank; a splash hood extending upwardly from said tank; standards vertically arranged within said splash hood; and a foot rest supported between said standards and arranged for vertical adjustment thereon; and hooks secured onY said splash hood and adapted to maintain a covering over said tank.
9. Colon irrigation apparatus comprising: an open topped tank; a standard extending above said tank; a container carried by said standard; a conduit for supplying fluid to said container; a second conduit for discharging fluid rom said container; a shelf supported from said tank; a transparent Y- tube carried by said shelf and connecting with said conduit; a third conduit from said Y- tube and adapted to discharge in said tank; and a colon tube extending from the third arm of said Y-tube; and a clamp arranged to secure said Y-t-ube to said shelf.
