Description of the Invention (I) [Background of the Invention] The present invention relates to an ink container for supplying ink to an inkjet printer. More specifically, the present invention relates to an ink container constituting a receiving station inserted into an inkjet printing system to establish a reliable electrical connection therewith. Inkjet printers frequently use one of the inkjet printers mounted on a carriage. Ink print head, the carriage is moved relative to print media such as paper. As the print head moves relative to the print medium, a control system activates the print head to place or eject ink drops on the print medium to form images and text. The ink is supplied to the print head by an ink supply integrated with the print head (as in the case of a disposable print cartridge), or by being separable from the print head and replaced. One ink supply. One previously used printing system uses an ink supply that carries a carriage. This ink supplier is integrally formed with the print head, and when the ink system is used up, the entire print head and ink supply are replaced. Alternatively, the ink supply may be provided with a carriage, and may be separated from the print head and replaced. In the case where the ink supply is detachably replaced, the ink supply is replaced when the ink is used up. After that, the print head is replaced at the end of the life of the print head. Regardless of where the ink supply is located within the printing system, it is important that the ink supply provides a reliable ink supply to the inkjet print head. The current demand for inkjet printing systems is the use of replaceable ink containers that are easy to install and remove. The installation of the ink container should produce a reliable functional connection to the printer. These ink containers should be fairly easy to manufacture. 4 (Please read the notes on the back before filling out this page) »Clothes Binding --------- Line No. 1 Ministry of Economic Affairs Intellectual Property Bureau Staff Consumption Cooperative printed this paper Standards are applicable to China National Standard (CNS) A4 specifications (210 X 297 mm) Printed by the Consumer Cooperatives of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs 505574 A7 B7 V. The information exchange system between the ink container 12 and the printing section 18 can ensure that the operation of the printing section 18 is compatible with the ink contained in the replaceable ink container 12 so as to achieve the high level of the printing system 10 Print quality and reliable operation. The controller 29 controls, in particular, the transfer of information between the printing section 18 and the replaceable ink container 12. In addition, the controller 29 controls the transfer of information between the print head 16 and the controller 29 for actuating the print head to selectively place ink on the print medium. In addition, the controller 29 controls the relative movement of the print head 16 and the print medium. The controller 29 also performs other functions, such as controlling the transfer of information between the printing system 10 and a master control device (not shown) such as a host computer. Invention Explanation (1) The replaceable ink container 12 is appropriately installed at the receiving station 14. An inkjet print head 16 is in fluid communication with the receiving station 14. In a preferred embodiment, the inkjet printing system 10 shown in FIG. 1 includes a three-color ink container and a second ink container. The three-color ink container contains three separate ink colors, and the second ink The container contains a single ink color. In this preferred embodiment, the three-color ink container contains cyan, magenta, and yellow inks, and the single-color ink container contains black ink for four-color printing. The replaceable ink container 12 can be divided differently to contain less than three ink colors or more than three ink colors (if more colors are required). For example, in the case of high fidelity printing, six or more colors are often used to achieve the column. For simplicity, the scanning bracket 20 shown in Figure 3 is shown as fluidly coupled to Single print head 16. In the preferred embodiment, four inkjet print heads 16 are fluidly coupled to the receiving station 14. In this preferred embodiment, each of the four print heads is fluidly coupled to each of the four color inks contained in the replaceable ink container 12. Therefore, each of the cyan, magenta, yellow, and black print heads 16 is coupled to its corresponding cyan, magenta, yellow, and black ink supply. Other structures with fewer than four print heads are also possible. For example, the print head 16 can be configured to print more than one ink color. By appropriately dividing the print head 16 to allow the first ink color to be provided to the ink nozzles of the first group, the second The ink color is provided to the ink nozzles of the second group, and the ink nozzles of the second group are different from the ink nozzles of the first group. In this way, a single print head of 12 paper sizes is applicable to the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (210 X 297 mm) " ~ ^ (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page) Order --- ------ Line · Printed by the Consumer Cooperatives of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs 505574 A7 B7 V. Description of Invention (π) 16 series can be used to print more than one ink color 'Allows less than four print heads 16 And achieve four-color printing. The fluid path between each of the replaceable ink containers 12 and the print head 16 will be discussed in detail with reference to FIG. 4. Each of the replaceable ink containers 12 includes a latch 30 for securing the replaceable ink container 12 to the receiving station 14. The receiving station 14 in the preferred embodiment includes a set of keys 32 which interact with corresponding keying sections (not shown) on the replaceable ink container 12. The keying units on the replaceable ink container 12 interact with the keys 32 on the receiving station 14 to ensure that the replaceable ink container 12 is compatible with the receiving station 14. Figure 4 A side view of the scanning carriage portion 20 shown in FIG. 3. The scanning carriage portion 20 includes an ink container 12 which is shown as being suitably installed at the receiving station 14 to establish fluid communication between the replaceable ink container 12 and the print head 16. The replaceable ink container 12 includes a storage portion 34 for containing one or more portions of ink. In the preferred embodiment, the three-color replaceable ink container 12 has three separate ink holding containers, each containing a different color ink. In this preferred embodiment, the monochrome replaceable ink container 12 is a single ink reservoir 34 for holding a single color of ink. In the preferred embodiment, the reservoir 34 has a capillary storage member disposed therein. Capillary action storage member is a porous member with sufficient capillary action to retain the ink. 13 This paper size is applicable to China National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (21 × X 297 mm) (Please read the precautions on the back first) (Fill in this page again) Order --------- line < 505574 A7 B7 V. Description of the Invention (ο) to prevent the ink container 12 from coming from the reservoir 34 during the insertion and removal of the ink container 12 from the printing system 10 Ink is leaking. This capillary force must be large enough to prevent ink leakage from the reservoir 34 under various environmental conditions such as temperature and pressure changes. In addition, the capillary action of the capillary action member is sufficient to hold the ink in the ink reservoir 34 for all orientations of the ink reservoir and a reasonable amount of shock and vibration that the ink container may be subjected to during normal operation. A preferred capillary-acting storage member is U.S. Patent Application Serial No. 09 / 430,400 (Attorney Docket No. 10991407) filed on October 29, 1999 and entitled "Ink Reservoir for Inkjet Printers" A U.S. patent application for a heat-bonded polymer web is assigned to the assignee of the present invention and is incorporated herein by reference. Once the ink container 12 is properly mounted to the receiving station 14, the ink container 12 is fluidly coupled to the print head 16 via a fluid interconnect 36. When the print head 16 is actuated, the ink is ejected from the ejection portion 38, and a negative metering pressure (sometimes referred to as a back pressure) is generated on the print head 36 at the same time. This negative metering pressure on the print head 36 is sufficient to overcome the capillary force, which is caused by a capillary action member disposed in the ink reservoir 34. The ink is drawn from the replaceable ink container 12 to the print head 16 by this counter pressure. In this manner, the print head 16 is supplemented with the ink provided by the replaceable ink container 12. The fluid interconnecting member 36 is preferably a vertical ink tube, which extends upward to the ink container 12 and downwards to the inkjet print head 16. The fluid interconnecting member 36 is shown in Fig. 4 in a simplified manner. In the preferred embodiment, the current 14 paper sizes are applicable to the Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 specification (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page) --------- Order · -------- Printed by the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs's Consumer Cooperatives 505574 A7 B7 5. The description of the invention Interconnect 36 is a manifold, which allows offset to these print heads The positioning of 16 along the scanning axis allows the print head 16 to be placed offset from the corresponding replaceable ink container 12. In the preferred embodiment, the fluid interconnecting member 36 extends to the reservoir 34 to compress the capillary action member, thereby forming an area adjacent to the fluid interconnecting member 36 to enhance capillary action. This area of increased capillary action helps to draw the ink toward the fluid interconnect 36, thereby allowing the ink to flow through the fluid interconnect 36 to the print head 16. As will be discussed, it is extremely important that the ink container 12 is properly positioned at the receiving station 14 so that proper compression of the capillary action member can be achieved when the ink container 12 is inserted into the receiving station. Proper compression of the capillary action member is necessary to establish a reliable ink flow from the ink container 12 to the print head 16. The replaceable ink container 12 further includes a guide portion 40, a joint portion 42, a handle 44, and a latch portion 30, allowing the ink container 12 to be inserted into the receiving station 14 to reach the printing head 16. It is a reliable fluid interconnection and constitutes a reliable electrical interconnection between the replaceable ink container 12 and the scanning carriage 20, as will be discussed with reference to FIGS. 9a to 9c and FIGS. 13a and 13b. The receiving station 14 includes a guide rail 46, an engaging portion 48, and an interlocking engaging portion 50. The guide rail 46 cooperates with the guide rail joint portion 42 of the replaceable ink container 12 to guide the ink container 12 to the receiving station 14. Once the replaceable ink trough 12 is fully inserted into the receiving station 14, the joint portion 42 associated with the replaceable ink container is engaged with the joint portion 48 associated with the receiving station 14, and one of the replaceable ink containers 12 is engaged. FIG. 5 is a front perspective view of the ink receiving station 14 shown in isolation. ° The receiving station 14 shown in FIG. 5 includes a single-color chamber 56 and a three-color chamber 58. An ink container I2 of one ink color, and the three-color chamber 56 is for receiving an ink container containing three individual ink colors therein. In this preferred embodiment, the single-color chamber 56 receives a replaceable ink container 12 containing black ink, and the three-color chamber 56 receives a replaceable ink container containing cyan, magenta, and yellow ink. The inks of the respective colors are distributed in a separate reservoir in the ink container 12. The receiving station I4 and the replaceable ink container 12 may be provided with other chambers 56 and 58 for receiving an ink container containing a different number of different inks therein. In addition, the number of receiving rooms 56 and 58 for the receiving station 14 may be less than or more than two. For example, the receiving station 14 may have four separate chambers for receiving four separate monochrome ink containers 12, each ink container containing a separate ink color to achieve four-color printing. Each of the 56 and 58 rooms of the receiving station 14 includes an aperture 60 for receiving 16 papers. Description of the Invention (>) The vertical fluid interconnect 36 extending through it is retracted. The fluid interconnect 36 is a fluid inlet for ink to leave a corresponding fluid outlet associated with the ink container 12. An electrical interconnect 62 is also included in each of the receiving rooms 56 and 58. The electrical interconnect 62 includes a plurality of electrical contacts 64. In a preferred embodiment, the electrical contacts 64 are a configuration of four spring-loaded electrical contacts, and the replaceable ink container 12 to the corresponding room of the receiving station 14 are appropriately installed. Each properly joined to the electrical connection 62 and the fluid interconnect 36 must be established in a reliable manner. Printed by the Consumer Cooperative of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economy The corresponding guide portion 40 is on the top to guide the ink container to the receiving station. When the ink container 12 is completely inserted into the receiving station 14, the joint portion 48 disposed on the back wall 66 of the receiving station 14 is joined to the corresponding joint portion 42 on the ink container 12 (shown in FIG. 4). The joints 48 are disposed on each side of the electrical interconnection 62. A biasing mechanism 52 such as a leaf spring is disposed at the receiving station 14. The leaf spring 52 provides a biasing force that helps to drive the ink container 12 upward from the bottom surface 68 of the receiving station 14. The leaf spring system helps to latch the ink container 12 to the receiving station 14 and helps to remove the ink container 12 from the receiving station, as will be discussed with reference to Figs. Numbers 6a, 6b, 6c, and 6d show front, side, rear, and bottom views of the replaceable ink container 12 of the present invention, respectively. As shown in Fig. 6a, the replaceable ink container 12 includes a pair of rail engaging portions 40 extending outward. In a preferred embodiment, each of these guide rail joints 40 extends in a direction orthogonal to the upright side 70 of the replaceable ink container 12 toward the outer side. The paper size is in accordance with Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 ( 210 X 297 mm) 505574 A7 B7 V. Description of the invention (〆) Extension. The engaging portion 42 extends outwardly from a front surface or a leading end edge 72 of the ink container. The joint portions 42 are disposed on each side of an electrical interface 74 and are disposed toward the bottom surface 76 of the replaceable ink container 12. The electrical interface 74 includes a plurality of electrical contacts 78, each of which is electrically connected to an electrical storage element 80. One of the trailing ends 82 is opposite to the leading end 72 as shown in FIG. 6c. The trailing end 82 of the replaceable ink container 12 includes a latch portion 30 having an engaging hook 54. The latch portion 30 is made of an elastic material, allowing the latch portion to extend outward from the trailing end, thereby extending the joint outward toward the corresponding joint connected to the receiving station 14. As the latch member 30 is compressed inwardly toward the trailing end 82, the latch member is biased outward to ensure that the joint 54 maintains its corresponding joint 50 associated with the receiving station 14 as the joint, and The ink container 12 is fixed to the receiving station 14. The replaceable ink container 12 also includes a key 84 which is disposed at the trailing end of the ink container 12. The keys are preferably arranged on each side of the latch 30 and face the bottom surface 76 of the replaceable ink container 12. The key 84 interacts with the keying section 32 at the receiving station 14 to ensure that the ink container 12 is inserted into the correct chambers 56 and 58 in the receiving station 14. In addition, the key 84 and the keying portion 32 ensure that the replaceable ink container 12 contains compatible ink, which is compatible with the corresponding receiving chambers 56 and 58 in the receiving station 14 in color and chemical properties or compatibility. Content. The grip portion 44 is a top surface 86 disposed at the trailing end 82 of the replaceable ink container 12. When the ink container 12 is inserted into the appropriate chamber of the receiving station 14, the grip portion 44 allows the ink container 12 to be gripped at the rear 18. Positioning the grip above the aperture 88 helps reduce the chance of the customer getting ink on the hand when the customer inserts the ink container 12 to the receiving station 14. In addition, the grip portion 44 is disposed in the reservoir 34 with respect to the electrical contacts 78 to reduce or eliminate the electrical contacts 78 from being grasped when the ink container 12 is inserted into the receiving station 14. This grasping condition by human hands will contaminate these electrical contacts. The electrical contacts are contaminated by salt and grease that are often visible on people's skin, which will cause unreliable or high-resistance electrical connections between the ink container 12 and the printing portion 18. The ink container 12 includes an aperture 88 which is disposed on a bottom surface 76 of the replaceable ink container 12. The aperture 88 allows the fluid interconnect 36 to extend through the reservoir 34 to engage a capillary action member disposed in the reservoir 34. In the case of the three-color replaceable ink container 12, there are three fluid outlets 88, and each fluid outlet corresponds to a different ink color. In the case of the three-color chamber, each of the three fluid interconnects 36 extends to each of the fluid outlets 88 to provide fluid communication between each ink chamber and a corresponding printhead for that ink color. FIG. 7 is a perspective view of a monochrome ink container which is positioned for insertion into a monochrome chamber 56 in the receiving station 14 shown in FIG. The single-color ink container shown in Fig. 7 is similar to the three-color ink container shown in Figs. 6a to 6d, except that only a single fluid outlet 88 is provided on the bottom surface 76. The single-color replaceable ink container 12 contains a single ink color, and therefore only receives a single corresponding fluid interconnect 36 for supplying ink from the ink container 12 to the corresponding print head. Description of the Invention (, Ί) In a preferred embodiment, the electrical storage element 80 and the electrical contacts are mounted on a base plate 85. Each of the electrical contacts 78 is electrically connected to the electrical storage element 80. Each of the electrical contacts 78 is electrically isolated from each other by a base plate 85. In a preferred embodiment, the electrical storage element 80 is a semiconductor memory mounted on the base plate 85. In the preferred embodiment, the bottom plate 85 is adhesively bonded to the ink container 12. In a preferred embodiment, there are four electrical contacts 78, which represent contacts for power and ground connections and clock and data connections. Inserting the replaceable ink container 12 into the printing section 18 establishes an electrical connection between the electrical contact 64 of the receiving station 14 and the electrical contact 78 of the replaceable ink container 12. Power and ground are added to the electrical storage element 80, and data is transferred between the printing section 18 and the replaceable ink container 12 at a rate established by the clock signal. It is extremely important that the electrical connection between the printing section 18 and the replaceable ink container 12 constituted by electrical contacts 64 and 78, respectively, to ensure a low-resistance connection to ensure reliable data transfer. If the electrical contacts 64 and 78 are unable to provide a low resistance connection, the data may not be properly transferred, or the data may be incorrect or inaccurate. Therefore, it is extremely important that a reliable low-resistance connection is achieved between the ink container 12 and the printing section 18 to ensure proper operation of the printing system 10. One aspect of the present invention is to establish a reliable electrical connection between the ink container 12 and the printing portion 18, which is discussed in detail with respect to the 10th, 11a, and lib drawings. Figures 9a, 9b, and 9c are continuous diagrams to illustrate the technology of the present invention. It is used to insert the replaceable ink container 12 to the receiving station 14 to form a reliable electrical and fluid connection with the receiving station I4. 20 This paper size applies to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (21〇X 297). The description of the invention (Λ) is inserted into the receiving station 14. Insertion of the ink container 12 into the receiving station 14 will cause the fluid interconnecting member 36 to contact the capillary action member of the ink container 12, and thus the fluid interconnecting member 36 will be contaminated with incompatible ink. Incompatible ink mixed into the fluid interconnect 36 may cause precipitation, which will damage the print head 16. In addition to incompatible chemical inks, ink containers may have incompatible colors, which will cause color mixing and reduce output print quality. The key 84 on the ink container 12 and the keying portion 32 on the receiving station 14 allow the proper insertion of the appropriate ink container 12 into the appropriate receiving station 14. The downward force applied to the trailing end 82 of the ink container 12 causes the ink container 12 to pivot on a pivot axis to compress the leaf spring 52, thereby moving the trailing end 82 of the ink container 12 toward the bottom surface 68 of the receiving station 14. As the ink container 12 is driven down to the receiving station 14, the elastic latch 30 is compressed inward slightly toward the trailing end 82 of the ink container 12. Once the ink container 12 is driven far enough downward, the joint 54 on the latch 30 is engaged with a corresponding joint 50 on the receiving station 14 to fix the ink container 12 to the receiving station 14, as shown in FIG. 9c. Show. As shown in Figure 9c, as the ink container 12 is properly secured to the receiving station 14, the fluid interconnect 36 extends to the reservoir 34 to compress the capillary action member, thereby forming one of the adjacent fluid interconnects 36 to improve Capillary area. This area of increased capillary action helps to draw ink toward the fluid interconnect 36, thereby allowing ink to pass through the fluid interconnect 36 to the print head 16. In the preferred embodiment, when inserted into the receiving station 14, the ink container 12 is positioned by the gravity criterion, so that a gravity is added to 22. This trapping of the leading edge 72 prevents the upward movement of the leading edge 72 when the downward force 90 is applied to the trailing edge 82 of the ink container 12, which generates a pivoting action on the pivot axis 92 . 23 This paper size applies to China National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page) -------- Order -------- -* ^ Printed by the Consumer Cooperatives of the Intellectual Property Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs 505574 A7 _ B7 V. Description of the Invention (v \) For example, if the joint 42 of the ink container 12 is not properly joined to the joint of the receiving station 14 48, when the downward force 90 is applied to the trailing end edge 82 of the ink container 12, the leading end edge 72 of the ink container 12 will rise upward due to the engagement of the fluid interconnect 36, and the fluid interaction The connector 36 is a capillary action member extending from the aperture 88 and engaging in the reservoir 34 and drives the leading end edge 72 upward as the trailing end edge 82 is driven downward by the downward force 90. Therefore, it is necessary that the engaging portion 42 is appropriately engaged with the corresponding engaging portion 48 of the receiving station 14 to properly pivot the ink container 12 on the pivot shaft 92 when the ink container 12 is inserted into the receiving station 14. The pivot axis 92 is defined by the joint portion 42 and its engagement with the corresponding joint portion at the receiving station 14. The ink container 12 shown in FIG. 10 also includes a plurality of electrical contacts 78, each of which is an electrical storage element 80, and the electrical contact 78 and the electrical storage element 80 are both mounted on a base plate 85. The bottom plate 85 is disposed next to the leading edge 72 of the ink container 12. Importantly, the electrical contacts 78 are configured to be at least partially interposed between the pivot shaft 92 and the bottom surface 76 of the ink container 12. As will be discussed with respect to Figures 11a and lib, the electrical contacts 78 are positioned below the pivot shaft 92, allowing the electrical contacts 78 to move forward when the ink container 12 is pivoted, providing Appropriate electrical bonding between the ink container 12 and the receiving station 14. Figures 11a and lib are simplified schematic diagrams of the pivoting of the ink container 12 to the receiving station 14 as previously shown in Figures 9b and 9c. Figures lla and lib are greatly simplified to better illustrate the positioning of the electrical contacts 78 on the ink container 12, and explain how this positioning is performed on the ink container 12 on the pivot axis 24. Description of the invention (/) 92 The proper connection of the electrical contact 78 at the ink container 12 and the electrical contact 64 at the receiving station 14 can be ensured when the 92 is pivoted. Figures 11a and 11b are side views of the ink container 12 and the receiving station 14, which are shown enlarged and partially cut away. The pivot axis 92 is represented by a circle having a cross centered on it. The pivot shaft 92 is attached to a point on the ink container. When the ink container 12 is inserted into the receiving station 14, the ink container 12 is pivoted on the pivot shaft 92. It should be noted that neither the joint portion 42 associated with the ink container 12 nor the joint portion 48 associated with the receiving station 14 is shown, to better illustrate the electrical connection between the ink container 12 and the receiving station 14. Figure 11a shows that the ink container 12 is partially inserted into the receiving station 14, as previously shown in Figure 9b. A downward force is applied to the trailing end of the ink container 12 to pivot the ink container 12 on the pivot shaft 92. As the ink container 12 is pivoted on the pivot shaft 92, the portion of the leading edge 72 before the pivot shaft is moved away from the back wall 66 of the receiving station 14. Conversely, the leading edge 72 below the pivot shaft 92 or the portion between the pivot shaft 92 and the bottom surface 76 of the ink container 12 moves toward the back wall 66 of the receiving station 14. Positioning the electrical contacts 78 below the pivot shaft 92 allows the electrical contacts to move in an arc toward the electrical contacts 64 on the electrical connector 62 to achieve a position between the ink container 12 and the receiving station 14 The electrical contact (Figure 1b) shows that the ink container 12 is fully inserted into the receiving station 14. It can be seen that, as the ink container 12 is pivoted on the pivot shaft 92, the electrical contact 78 moves in an arc shape toward the electrical contact 64 connected to the receiving station 14. As the electrical contact 78 is connected to the corresponding electrical contact 64, the operation is 25. In the preferred embodiment, the electrical contacts 64 associated with the receiving station 14 are spring biased, and therefore are slightly compressed or retracted as the electrical contacts 78 engage the electrical contacts 64. The use of spring-biased electrical contacts 64 at the receiving station 14 helps to achieve more reliable electrical contact, and allows a larger tolerance to be changed between both the ink container 12 and the receiving station 14. FIG. 12 is a simplified plan view, and the ink container 12 is installed at a receiving station 14. As shown in FIG. Figure 12 illustrates how the electrical interconnection between the ink container 12 and the receiving station 14 is achieved, and is not drawn to scale. In the preferred embodiment, the receiving station 14 includes an electrical interconnect 62 having a plurality of spring-loaded electrical contacts 64. The ink container 12 includes a plurality of electrical contacts 78 disposed thereon. The ink container 12 is configured such that when inserted into the receiving station 14, each of the plurality of electrical contacts 78 is coupled to each of the plurality of spring-loaded electrical contacts 64 of the receiving station 14. The electrical contacts 64 are slightly compressed so that each electrical contact is biased against each electrical contact 78 connected to the ink container, so that a reliable electrical interconnection system is established between the ink container 12 and the receiving station 14. This electrical interconnection between the ink container 12 and the receiving station 14 allows information to be transferred between the electrical storage element 80 disposed in the ink container 12 and the controller 29 disposed in the printing section 18, as shown in FIG. 2 Show. Figures 13a and 13b illustrate one of the positions of the insertion process described in Figures 9a, 9b, and 9c, in which the leading end 72 of the ink container 12 is positioned above the fluid interconnect 36. Figure 13a depicts a side view, while Figure 13b shows an end view. Description of the invention (4) The guide 40 must be positioned on the ink container 12 as long It is low and faces the bottom surface 76 of the ink container 12 so that the leading edge 72 of the ink container does not hit the fluid interconnecting member 36 during insertion. Another limitation of the positioning of the guide member 40 is that the guide member 40 must be positioned close enough to the top surface 86 of the ink container 12 to ensure that the joint 42 is corresponding to the corresponding joint 42 on the receiving station 14 as Properly joined. In addition, the outwardly extending guide member 40 on the ink container must extend far enough outward to engage the guide rail 46. However, the outwardly extending guide member 40 should not extend too far outward so that the guide member 40 engages with the upright side of the receiving station 14 to cause interference, which generates friction and restraint against the insertion of the ink container 12 to the receiving station. 14. Figures 14a, 14b, and 14c illustrate techniques for removing the ink container 12 from the receiving station 14. The technique for removing the ink container 12 of the present invention starts when the joint is released from the corresponding joint 50 on the receiving station 14 by driving the latch 30 toward the trailing end 82. Once the trailing end of the ink container 12 is released, the spring 52 drives the trailing end of the ink container upward, as shown in Fig. 14b. The ink container 12 can be grasped by the handle 44 to retrieve the ink container 12 in a direction relative to the insertion direction. As the ink container 12 is withdrawn by the receiving station 14, the guide member 40 follows the guide rail 46 to lift the ink container, thereby preventing the fluid outlet between the fluid interconnecting member 36 and the bottom surface of the ink container 12 Interference. The ink container 12 of the present invention is configured to engage and interact with the receiving station 14 to guide the ink container 12 to the receiving station and to provide a reliable fluid and electrical connection with the receiving station 14. The technology of the present invention allows this insertion process. 27 The paper size is applicable to Chinese National Standard (CNS) A4 (210 X 297 mm) (Please read the precautions on the back before filling this page)
