Abstract

This invention discloses a guiding system of a global positioning system (GPS) and a method thereof, which is applicable to an electronic information processing apparatus. The method comprises steps as follows: a GPS receiver of the electronic information processing apparatus receives the geographic coordinate information of the current position; then the information is transmitted to a server end capable of providing position information of a plurality of scenic spots and the corresponding map data; consequently, all the scenic spots are provided within a predetermined scope of the current position in accordance with the geographic coordinate information; a scenic spot sequence is determined in accordance with users' selection and order; and an optimal guiding pathway is calculated from the current position to the selected scenic spot in the electronic information processing apparatus. Thus, the present invention may propose the best navigation pathway for a user's travel plan.
