Abstract

PURPOSE: A lock function releasing method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to effectively prevent use of a mobile communication terminal by another person by reducing a risk of exposing of a password by adopting a voice authentication method, not a method of inputting a password for a lock function release. CONSTITUTION: A user makes a voice of a registered password to release a lock function of a mobile communication terminal(101), and extracts a voice characteristic from the uttered words(102). When the voice characteristic is extracted, a probability value is obtained for identifying the speaker(103). After the probability value for identifying the speaker is computed, it is compared with a critical value(104). If the probability value is greater than the critical value, the speaker is recognized as a mobile communication terminal user and the lock is released(105). If the probability value is greater than the critical value even once among three times of lock releasing attempts, the speaker is determined to be the mobile communication terminal user and the lock is released, while if the probability value does not exceeds for three times of lock releasing attempts, the speaker is determined not to be the mobile communication user, and the lock is maintained(107).
