Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain effective utilization of a frequency by selecting a new talking channel capable of talking to a radio connection device to a manual talking channel changeover request from a handy telephone set during talking and issuing a command it to the portable telephone set. CONSTITUTION:When the portable telephone set 9 is communicated with, e.g., a radio connection device 7, when a radio wave interference takes place and the user of the handy telephone set 9 turns on a manual switch for talking channel changeover, a channel switching request from the telephone set 9 is sent to the radio connection device 7. The radio connection device 7 checks the operating state of all talking channels including a spare channel and selects any of idle talking channels to issue a command to the telephone set 9 and the channel is switched to the command channel and it is also switched to the channel. Thus, even if the standby channel is busy in a faulty state such as radio wave interference, the talking is consecutive through a new talking channel thereby utilizing effectively the frequency.
