Abstract

PURPOSE:To vary the oscillating frequency over a wide range by increasing the degree of electromagnetic field coupling between a conductor line connecting to a transistor(TR) and a conductor line connecting to a varactor diode. CONSTITUTION:The magnitude of the electromagnetic field coupling between the conductor 1ine 5a connecting to a TR 1 and a conductor line 5b connecting to a varactor diode 2 depends on the dielectric constant zetar, thickness (t) and an area S overlapped in the broadwise direction of a dielectric base 4. In this case, the control impressed voltage to the varactor diode 2 is selected to be 0--10V, and a 'Teflon(R)' glass fiber base whose dielectric constant zetar is 2.55 and thickness is 0.8mm is employed as the dielectric base 4. Thus, the characteristic where the oscillating frequency variable width is >=200MHz is easily obtained by the adjustment of the area S in this way.
