Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a deodorizing sheet rich in flexibility, abrasion resistance and air permeability and capable of sufficiently developing deodorizing function, by containing a solution type deodorizing compound in a rayon fiber. CONSTITUTION:A deodorizing sheet 15 is formed by laminating a bulky rayon fiber web to the surface of woven base cloth 12 prepared by weaving polypropylene tape yarns 11 to entangle and unify both of them by needling and forming piles by applying tufting to the resulting laminate from the back surface of the woven base cloth 12 and containing a solution type deodorizing compound in rayon fibers. As a solution type deodorizing compound, a composition consisting of an iron (II) compound and L-ascorbic acid or a commercial deodorant such as alum is used and said compound may be applied to the rayon fibers 13 before or after the needling of the woven base cloth 12. An emulsion compound or other adhesive is applied to a back stitch surface 16 after tufting to fix the piles 14 to the woven base cloth 12.
