Abstract

PURPOSE:To rapidly perform the examination of an object to be examined, by recording the discrimination data relating to the object to be examined and an image on a recording medium along with digital image data and converting the image data to analogue data when said image data are read from the recording medium to output the same as sound. CONSTITUTION:When the image of the region to be diagnosed of an object to be examined is taken by an imaging apparatus 1, the discrimination data or comments relating to the object to be examined and an image are inputted as sounds. By this method, the sound data of the discrimination data are recorded on the recording medium of a recording apparatus 3 along with the image data of a medical image. Next, in order to read the image thus recorded to perform diagnosis, the image data and the sound data are respectively read from the recording apparatus 3 at first and sound data is read from a sound memory 7 to be converted to an analogue signal by a D/A converter 8. This analogue signal is outputted as the sound showing the discrimination data or the like from a speaker 9. By this method, all the discrimination data can be heard as a sound by the sound output from the speaker 9 while the medical image displayed on the picture of a display apparatus 4 is observed.
