Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the speaker of high quality in which frequency characteristic is improved, by forming it only by SiC. CONSTITUTION:Carbon (isotropic graphite) 1 which is comparatively easy to be processed is processed in a prescribed shape and the prescribed thickness of SiC 2 is adhered on the carbon 1 of the prescribed shape by a CVD, whereby the carbon 1 is burnt to be removed. Consequently, a speaker diaphragm formed only by SiC 2 can easily be obtained. Since the acoustic velocity of the speaker diaphragm formed only by SiC is 11.16km/sec (density 3.21X10<3>kg/M<3> and Young's modulus 4.0X10<6>kgf/cm<2>), and it is superior to the acoustic velocity of alumina 9.4km/sec, the speaker having wider band and higher quality than the speaker diaphragm of fine ceramic, which consists only of alumina, can be obtained.
