Abstract

PURPOSE:To match with the change in environment and obtain comfortable dwelling condition by changing a set value for dehumidification in response to the change in room temp. CONSTITUTION:When automatic operation is commanded by a remoto controller 10, an indoor fan 14, and an outdoor fan 18 are ON and humidity is detectby an indoor humidity detecting element 5 and it is compared at a comparison circuit 8 and when the humidity is 60% or more, a mode A is obtained and when less than 60%, a mode B is obtained. In the mode B dehumidification is not carried out. When a dehumidification I mode (the lowest set temp. Ts for dehumidification=23 deg.C) is selected, room temp. Tr is higher than 23 deg.C if a compressor 21 is ON and dehumidification can be carried out and when this condition continues for ten minutes or more, dehumidification is carried out in the dehumidification I mode except in a space cooling zone. In case of Tr<23 deg.C, the compressor 21 is OFF and when duration is 10 minutes or more, an RH is detected again and in case of RH>=60%, dehumidification is started. However, in case of Tr<23 deg.C the operation is unable to be carried out in the dehumidification I mode, and humidification is carried out in a converted dehumidification II mode where Ts is reduced to 21 deg.C.
