Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency of a film banking system by reading out transaction data continuously while collating the passwords of card devices with each other with use of the password of the card device set at the preceding stage as a key. CONSTITUTION:When plural card devices 13 are used to write and read data and also to transfer data to banks via terminals 14 and 19, the common data used for execution of collation of identification numbers, etc., is written into the first card devices 13 together with the transaction data. Then the transaction data are written to the following devices 13 respectively. Then these transaction data are read out of the devices 13 by reference to the continuous passwords given to each card. Thus the data writing/reading operations are simplified despite increase of the number of devices 13. Then the system operating efficiency is improved and the data memory parts of the device 13 are effectively utilized.
