Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance workability and compression strength and to facilitate the unification with the bone tissue or teeth tissue of a living body, by compounding alkali metal salt or ammonium salt of citric acid with at least one of an alpha-tricalcium phosphate powder and a curing liquid. CONSTITUTION:This curable composition is composed of an alpha-tricalcium phosphate powder or a powder agent consisting of said powder and a barium sulfate powder and a curing liquid, and alkali metal salt or ammonium salt of citric acid is compounded with at least one of the aforementioned powder agent and the aforementioned curing liquid. The use amount of barium sulfate is 5-30wt.%, pref. 10-20wt.% of the alpha-tricalcium phosphate in order to improve not only X-ray imaging property but also kneading workability. As the curing liquid, especially, an aqueous solution of a homopolymer or copolymer of unsaturated carboxylic acid, an aqueous citric acid solution or a solution mixture thereof can be pref. used because excellent compression strength is imparted to a cured substance. The concn. of the aqueous solution is pref. within a range of 10-60wt.%.
