Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a superconductor excellent in characteristic by temporarily baking the mixed powder mixed with a compound decomposed into another compound by the heat treatment, leaving part of the decomposable compound, filling it in a metal tube and heat-treating it, separating oxygen from part of the compound and feeding it to a superconductive material. CONSTITUTION:Y2O3 powder 0.5mol, BaCO3 powder 2mol, and CuO powder 3mol are mixed with the composition ratio of component elements set to Y:Ba: Cu:O:C =1:2:3:10:5:2. This mixed powder is temporarily baked to decompose BaCO3 in the mixed powder into BaO, and the temporary baking time is set to about 2hr so that 12.5% of BaCO3 is left as BaCO3. The powder is then dried and crushed in the oxygen atmosphere and filled in a silver tube with the inner diameter of 20mm and outer diameter of 30mm, the tube is drawing- machined into a wire rod with the diameter of 1mm, and a superconductive oxide is generated inside. The oxygen freed from the compound is thereby allowed to contribute in generating a superconductor.
