Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive to improve accuracy for displaying an approach of a bus, by collecting periodically data so that the data transmitted to a base station from each bus shows a running distance from a reference point, in a bus location system. CONSTITUTION:In a body 11 in a bus 10, a radio equipment, etc., are contained, and when a polling signal from a base station 30 is received, the radio equipment transmits running data. This data is that which has added the data for showing a running route, to the running distance data for showing a running distance from a reference point by counting a pulse generated at every prescribed running distance from a running sensor and counting a pulse generated at every running distance from the reference point. The base station 30 transfers the received data to an operation control place 40, inputs it to a central processor 41, utilizes it for a display of an operation control panel, and on the other hand, transmits to a bus stop 20, and utilizes it for displaying an approach of a bus.

In a traffic control office that manages a large number of route buses, it is necessary to know which buses are passing through which points for each route. In a bus operation management system called the bus location system, each bus and base station are connected via wireless lines, and the current location is displayed on the operation control panel at the operation control center based on the position information sent from the bus. do. With this system, the approach indicator at each stop can notify you of the approach of a bus.

FIG. 2 is a system diagram showing the internal configuration in more detail. The main body 11 of the equipment in the bus 10 includes a radio 15, a weak receiver 1a16, and a signal processor 17. Radio device 15 receives a polling signal from base station 30 and transmits data from signal processor 17. This data is obtained by adding data indicating the travel route to travel distance data that indicates the travel distance from a reference point by counting pulses generated from the travel sensor at regular travel distances. The latter can be automatically determined from the location of the direction curtain displaying the destination. The reference point for mileage is initially the starting point (here is θKm).
However, in order to prevent the accumulation of distance measurement errors due to wheel wear, slippage, number of passengers, etc., position correction signals from position correction devices installed at various locations (for example, how many kilometers is the current location from the starting point)? (indicates whether there is one). The position correction device 50 has its own position correction signal generator 52,
The signal is repeatedly transmitted using weak radio waves that can only be received by buses passing nearby.
