Abstract

PURPOSE:To form taper on a finished surface by chamfering the edge of a punch, forming a tapered part near the chamfered part and plastic working the inner peripheral face of a product by blanking. CONSTITUTION:The tip 5 of a punch 1 is chamfered to form a cutting edge 7, and a columnar part 6 having the same circumference with a hole which is to be pierced in the product is provided in the upper part of the tip 5. A tapered part 8 is provided above the columnar part 6 and a columnar part 9 having larger diameter than the columnar part 6 is formed in the upper part. A sheet metal 3 is clamped by a die 2 and a pressing member 4 and the punch 1 is lowered. Then, the cutting edge 7 presses the sheet metal 3 and shears from the edge 7 to the edge 10 of the die 2. Further, a broken face is scraped off by a chamfering part at the tip 5. Then, the tip 12 of the tapered part 8 arrives at the sheet metal 3, and the tapered part 8 is pressed into a pierced hole 13 to enlarge the outer diameter gradually. The inner face of the sheet metal product is plastic deformed and the tapered face 8 is transferred. The punch 1 is raised, and finish blanking is performed by one process.

In the conventional finishing punching method, a device consisting of a punch with a rounded and/or chamfered cutting edge and a die with a predetermined clearance for this punch is used to punch the required holes in a plate-shaped product. Or, conversely, by rounding and/or chamfering the cutting edge of the die, and using this die and a punch with a predetermined clearance to cut out a product of the required shape and size from the plate material, these can be made. The purpose is to make the inner or outer peripheral surface of a product into a machined surface with few fractured surfaces or secondary shear surfaces. This conventional finish punching method aims to prevent the occurrence of cracks such as waist fracture surfaces and secondary shear surfaces by machining the cut surface of the product at right angles to the plate surface, and at the same time It was difficult to form a taper.

The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and includes providing a rounded and/or chamfered edge on at least one of the cutting edges of a punch or die, and further forming a tapered portion near the rounded and/or chamfered portion. The present invention has developed a finishing punching method that makes it possible to plastically deform the inner or outer peripheral surface of a product punched from a sheet material using the tapered surface to make it tapered and to obtain a smooth finish in one step. provide. In addition, devices used in this method include a device in which a punch with a rounded and/or chamfered cutting edge is formed with a tapered part, and a pair of this punch and a die, and a device with a rounded and/or chamfered cutting edge. The present invention will be described below based on the illustrated embodiment.

The tip (5) of the punch (1) is The upper part of the tip (5) is a columnar part (6) having an outer circumference approximately the same as the hole provided in the sheet metal product. In conventional finish punching, the chamfered cutting edge (7) ) and a columnar part (6) and a die (2) are used to make a hole in a sheet metal product to prevent the occurrence of cracks. A tapered portion (8) is formed above the columnar portion (6), and a columnar portion (9) having a larger diameter than the columnar portion (6) is formed above the tapered portion (8). On the other hand, the die (2) has the same structure as the conventional one.

Then, when the cutting edge (7) of the punch (1) reaches the surface of the sheet metal (3) and further descends to press the sheet metal (3) downward (
(See the right side of FIG. 1), a shearing surface runs from the cutting edge (7) of the punch (1) to the cutting edge (10) of the die (2) and is sheared. As the punch (1) further descends, the fractured surface of the sheet metal (3) is scraped off by the chamfered tip (5) of the punch (1) and discharged together with the material (11). The punch (1) continues to descend, and the tip (12) of the tapered portion reaches the cut portion of the sheet metal (3). At this time,
The hole (13) drilled in the outer periphery of the tip (I2) and the sheet metal (3)

) is press-fitted into the hole (13) (see left side of Figure 1), the outer diameter of the tapered part (8) gradually increases, so the inner periphery of the hole (13), that is, the inner surface of the sheet metal product, undergoes plastic deformation. The tapered surface (8) is then transferred.

As described above, by the single movement of the press (1) descending from above into the die (2), the inner surface of the sheet metal product can be formed into a tapered shape, and compared to conventional finishing punching, the inner surface of the sheet metal product can be formed into a tapered shape. A finished surface with significantly fewer secondary shear surfaces can be obtained.

In this process, the product is punched by the punch (1) and then pushed down inside the cylindrical hole (16) to reach the tapered part (17). As a result, the outer peripheral surface of the product (19) undergoes plastic deformation and is formed into a tapered shape. In this way, the punch (1) - action causes the punched end to (By forming the outer circumferential surface of the samurai into a tapered shape, a finish with few fractured surfaces or secondary shear surfaces can be obtained.
